Der Sommer bleibt mindestens eine Woche Sa-Sa. Kürzere 3-tägige Aufenthalte können vor Beginn der Schulferien im Juni und nach dem Labor Day verfügbar sein. Gäste, die im Sommer einen kürzeren Aufenthalt wünschen, können die ganze Woche buchen und die Woche mit einem Freund oder Familienmitglied teilen. Kürzere Aufenthalte werden für alle Wochen berücksichtigt, die wir 2 Wochen offen haben.

Neu für das Jahr 2015 Saison - New höhere Kapazität Wasserkocher, einen neuen Teppich in beiden Schlafzimmern, neue Flachbild-TV, neue Pfannen und neue Futon für die LR Futon.

Wir bieten den Komfort von zu Hause mit einer gut ausgestatteten Küche, Waschmaschine / Trockner, Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Geschirr, Besteck, Topftopf, auch ein Waffeleisen. LR / DR Kombination hat Deckenventilator und A / C. Fans sowohl in BR. Master BR hat eine Königin, 2. BR hat zwei Einzelbetten. Rundum-Terrasse mit Gartenmöbeln blickt auf privaten Hinterhof mit Picknick-Tisch und Holzkohlegrill. Das Haus verfügt über Rechte an Eastham Stadt Cove für Kajak deeded. First Encounter Bay Seiten Beach ist 2. 5 Meilen entfernt und die neu renovierte National Seashore Besucherzentrum und Wanderwege sind nur 2 Meilen entfernt. Coast Guard Beach große für das Surfen 3. 5 Meilen vom Haus und Nauset Light Beach 4 Meilen entfernt. Eastham Windmill Grün nur 1 Meile von dem Haus ist ideal für Picknicks und hat Veranstaltungen / Umzüge häufig.
Orleans ist in der Nähe für Lebensmittel einkaufen, Restaurants, Take-out, Geschenkeladen (nur eine Meile von der Dreh). North Eastham hat auch viele Souvenirläden, Restaurants, Take-out und Convenience-Stores.
Wellfleet Audubon Sanctuary ist nur über die Stadtlinie und hat Meilen von Wanderwegen und einem neu renovierten Zentrum. Wellfleet bietet auch ein bis zum letzten Drive-in Theater für Familien Nostalgie sowie ein in-door Multiplex-Kino.
Unsere Lage macht es einfach, die beiden Enden des Cape zu erkunden - nehmen Sie einen Tag der Fähre nach Nantucket oder Martha Vineyard von Hyannis oder nehmen Sie in den Souvenirläden und Kunstgalerien in der Provinz Stadt. Beide sind nur 1/2 Stunde Form Eastham.
Das Haus verfügt über Sat-TV, DVD / VCR und CD / Radio Stereoanlage.
Die Gäste bringen ihre eigene Bettwäsche und Handtücher mit, jedoch können wir sie für Reisende aus der Ferne zu einem Mietpreis von 25 $ / Set für zwei Personen zur Verfügung stellen.

Noreen and her husband Tom were excellent hosts. From their phone call to confirm our booking and all the information they provide to make the visit more enjoyable. The property is peaceful and homey with a great deck and yard which was great for having morning coffee or relaxing in the evenings. As well as the daily visit from the neighbors chickens which we absolutely enjoyed. We spent 9 days and it was our 1st visit to Cape Cod. Thank you Noreen and Tom. We highly recommend!

Week at the Cape

Spent a week with family, short drive to beach and restaurants. Getting in and off 6 was not fun but very doable. Can get a little traffic noise if hanging out outside but overall a great experience and hosts where very friendly and informative.

Great house!

Wonderful well-appointed house with everything you could need! Extremely clean and comfortable house. Great location right off of route 6 with easy access to Eastham and other cape destinations. Small compact layout, bathroom is small (tight space where the toilet was, as described by my large husband) but it was fine. Nice property with attentive hosts!

Wonderful Vacation Home

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this well appointed, very clean and organized vacation home. The location provides easy access to many beaches and a kayak launch. Well kept and conveniently located Cape Home.

Classic little Cape cottage. Well maintained with a lovely back yard. Lots of birds! Very clean. The kitchen had plenty of equipment. Very conveniently located. The hosts were very responsive and took the time to provide additional information regarding activities occurring the weekend we were there. Close to a variety of beaches and lots of other things to do.

Great Eastham Option

We liked this cottage very much. It was very clean and well-maintained, and extremely well-equipped, including all manner of small appliances. The owners were communicative and very responsive and helpful and friendly (they even left us a gift bag of goodies because some outside re-shingling was not yet finished and they felt bad about that, even though it didn't bother us a bit—there were no workmen there during our stay). We have been going to this part of the Cape for over 25 years and have stayed at a large number of places; this was one of our favorites.

Cute, Comfortable, Classic Cape Cottage

We loved our time staying at this cozy cottage in Eastham. Noreen and Tom were gracious hosts, providing for our needs without ever being intrusive. The house was very clean and well-stocked. The location was convenient for exploring the wonders of Cape Cod. The air conditioning unit in the main room kept the whole place cool, and the house was nice and quiet indoors. The place was closer to the highway than I expected. This made it convenient for going to the beach or restaurants and stores, but there was traffic noise when outside in the yard (which, by the way, was very pretty!). We had a great vacation staying at this lovely vacation home!

Perfect stay

We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay while in town at a conference at the Cape Cod Institute. It worked perfect for a family of 3. My 9 year old loved walking down to the cove to catch hermit crabs and minnows with a bucket. Eating at the Knack nearby was cheap and quick. We spent a day in Ptown shopping and went on an amazing whale watch tour. We checked out the National Seashore, Natural History Museum, a shark conservation site, lots of hiking trails, and lots of other lovely things on the Cape, using this cottage as a base for our family. We saw fin whales, humpback whales, a coyote, various crabs, shells, snails, lots of birds including egrets, wildlowers, and a lot more wildlife. It is a beautiful area. The owner gave us great tips and left us many brochures and lists of ideas to page through. We saved some money by grocery shopping and making some meals at the cottage. The kitchen was everything we needed and more. We like sitting on the porch in the evevings and my son loved running around the yard and playing games at the picnic table. The flowers in the yard were adorable. The neighbor's chickens wandered over daily to greet us. It was an asorable place. We made great memories. My one regret was not renting bicycles or kayaks to be dropped off for the week from the local stores.

Eastham Vacation

Well maintained and very clean home. Very helpful owners. Everything we needed in the kitchen and a nice deck and yard. Close to Orleans with grocery stores and restaurants as well as Town Cove. Having a laundry and dishwasher was great! AC kept the entire house cool during some hot days. We very much enjoyed out time!

Eastham cottage

This lovely cottage is perfect for a couple or a family. Open living room, dining area and kitchen nice for families and two bedrooms. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment, utensils, dinnerware etc. Gas stove, fridge and dishwasher as well as washer and dryer , all very clean. Bathroom was very clean also. We brought our own linens and towels. There is a good sized deck to sit and enjoy coffee or lunch. Lots of trees and birds and bunnies!! There is a charcoal grill, which we loved. Cottage is close to Rte 6, lots of restaurants, gift shops and things to do close by as well as multiple beaches. Best sunset view is at First Encounter beach!! Although we did not meet the owners, they were in touch and gave us their numbers in case we needed anything. We were comfortable and felt that they made everything available to make the guests feel at home. I would definitely suggest this cottage to others looking for a comfortable place to stay that's close to things to do.

Perfect location.

The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The house was the perfect size for 3 of us. Quick ride to everything we wanted to do being so close to Rt. 6. And secluded enough to get that woodsy Cape feel. Forgot to bring a bar of soap!! If that’s my biggest problem in a home away from home, I’d call that a success. Thank you for leaving the house so nice. We can't do much about the natural light as the house does have 9 windows all in a first floor cape and we don't want to clear cut the 3/4 of acres of woods that are on the left side of the house and the trees and bushes on the right side that provide privacy from the neighboring house. The wraparound deck with plenty of furniture does allow guests to enjoy natural light (weather permitting). We have always found that the 8,000 BTU air conditioner in the living room cools the entire house well since the house is all one floor and just requires leaving the doors cracked to cool the entire house. The house is surrounded by woods...where mice live. We take safe steps to keep the house free of critters and have never had a complaint on this but we do not want to put poison in the backyard where it will harm birds, bunnies and squirrels. Wildlife is an important part of Cape Cod. The deck and yard is perfectly safe for cookouts. You might have considered calling us if this was a concern and we could have explained the steps we take. During the summer people on the Cape learn to take a right turn and then turn around at the nearest light or in the empty lot on the other side of route 6 across from the entrance to the neighborhood in order to head back into Orleans for those neighborhoods like ours that are off the main road. The detailed letter that you received prior to check-in gave this tip of how to drive like a native during peak traffic times but unfortunately not everyone reads it so we will put this tip in the info book.

A cozy and functional little home in the center of the Cape

Stayed at this cottage at the end of May for a long weekend escape to Cape Cod. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions and provided useful information on the area. The cottage is located on a beautiful property, lots of bushes and trees provide lots of privacy and feels like there is nobody else around (while there are a few houses next to it). Lots of bids pass by, so don't even need to go to Audubon park and can just sit on the porch and watch them fly by. There was even a grackle nest in the bushes nearby so we had lovely feathery neighbors. At the same time it is on the major route so very easy and fast to go places. We ended up going to Orleans for takeout and grocery a lot, which is just a few minutes away. Also went to Wellfleet and beaches nearby, very quick drive. The cottage itself is very well maintained. As soon we entered it smelled very fresh, as if the cleanup was just finished right before we arrived. Very neat and clean. The kitchen (right after location) was one of the major reasons for choosing this place. It is small but super functional, has every possible thing you need to cook (hey, even a waffle iron!). We cooked half of the meals and the other half was takeout. The queen bed was comfortable, a good compromise for me loving hard mattress and my husband loving to sleep on a cloud kind of mattress. The couch felt nice and sturdy, so probably converts as a nice full bed but we did not need it. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a Roku box, so we could watch our favorite Youtube shows on TV. When my husband saw Roku he said "oh, it's just like home!". This phrase describes the place pretty well. It very thoughtfully put together, as if the owners would live there themselves so they put extra care into making the place comfortable and functional. Such great attitude is not that common in rentals and I was happy to find such place. I only wish we had some more vacation time to spend there.

Eastham cottage

Everything as expected. Conveninet, easy to get to exceptionally helpful owners, easy to reach, who gave us much useful info on the phone once we booked. Amazingly well outfitted kitchen. Not a thing missing that someone who likes to cook would want. Only thing I didn't expect, but didn't affect us because it was March is how close the property is to Route 6.

Thank you for the nice review Judith and for leaving the house so nice. In March the trees on the 3/4 acres we own between the house and route 6 provide a nice buffer zone but they had not leafed out yet. With our double paned windows and air conditioning our regular summer guests, (many of over 20 years) aren't bothered by the road and find it convenient to getting to shopping in Orleans and National Seashore and Audubon nature sites in North Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown. We are glad that you appreciated our well equipped kitchen. We hope that you will stay with us again...and maybe enjoy our water access to Town Cove for a picnic or kayak paddle. Noreen & Tom

Cozy Weekend Getaway

Absolutely loved this stay from start to finish! The Thompsens are some of the most resourceful and kind hosts you’ll ever find. And the house is just stunning. From the cute living space to the well equipped kitchen, it was a stay worth while. Would highly recommend to anyone that comes across this listing

We previously owned the Cove Bluffs Motel, a small family motel as well as this house and the house has many regulars that have been staying here for years. We sold the motel and are now hoping to spend some time at the beach and kayaking from our Town Cove beach ourselves after 16 years of very intensive summers. We have traveled extensively with vacation rentals through Homeaway all over the world and know what makes for a great vacation rental. We have tried to provide all the extras to make your stay enjoyable.

We met when living in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1986 and in 2016 celebrated "Zoo Day" (our first date at the Karlsruhe Zoo 30 years before). Tom studied German in college so he can conjugate verbs and Noreen learned "survival" German and can eat and shop fluently. Noreen also studied French in college and can still read it fairly well and can still communicate somewhat. Our daughter graduated from McGill in Montreal so now I don't practice as much as I would like. We both get better with practice in the two languages and have hosted many guests from Germany, France and Canada over the years.

We bought this house because of it's proximity to our house and it's great location just 2 miles from the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center and the beautiful sunsets and tide pools at First Encounter (bay side) Beach. Great Pond (Wiley Park) is also nearby and provided a freshwater swim location where our kids took swim lessons. Eastham has a small town feel but near plenty of live theater, live music, shopping, museums, lectures and cultural events.

The house has a nice 3/4 acre lot rimmed by trees and a thick buffer zone of trees between it and route 6. The private backyard, grill and picnic table give guests a great location for a cook-out. We added the wrap around deck a few years ago to further enhance the nature experience. Birds, bunnies and squirrels are our yard mates and a 3 Minute walk to our little marsh beach on Town Cove is a great stroll whether or not you bring or rent a kayak or canoe. If you do kayak or canoe, a must is a picnic on uninhabited Hopkins Island just across the Cove and a paddle through the salt marshes.
