Great Executive Retreat!
The house is a nearly 3,000 sf classic design. It is located in a quiet, desirable area of SLO, on a dead-end street at the base/trailhead of Madonna Mtn (aka San Luis Mtn), and a 12 minute walk to downtown SLO. Located behind the main house is a STUDIO APARTMENT with its own patio and private entrance...available alone or along with the main house at an extra charge.

The large lot allows for single-story living, with rooms designed around a private, enclosed patio. The patio boasts a splash pool, a 6-person hot tub, umbrella-covered outdoor dining, and ample seating for guests to relax outdoors.

Much of the home has 10' ceilings, ceiling fans, and abundant natural light.

The living room is spacious with lots of windows, a cozy fireplace, and large TV. An adjacent wood-paneled family room opens up to the living room. If need be, it can be closed off via two large pocket doors for privacy and more intimate gatherings, or for use as a 5th bedroom. It also boasts a lg-screen TV, as well as a pool table, and built-in bar.

The sunny, gourmet kitchen offers high-end stainless steel appliances such as a 6-burner Thermador range and two ovens, a built-in breakfast table that seats 6 comfortably, and a desk area. It is stocked with everything guests may need.

A formal dining room features a custom-made table that seats 8-10, built-in cabinetry, and french doors that open onto the patio.

There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The master bedroom has a queen size bed along with a twin daybed and pop-up twin trundle for extra sleeping, a TV, a huge walk-in closet, and an en-suite spa-like bathroom with 2 sinks and a separate shower and tub. Bedroom 2 and 3 each have a queen bed, and share a 'Jack 'n Jill' bathroom with a tub/shower. And bedroom 4 has two full size beds and a next door bathroom with a shower.

Wireless cable internet runs throughout house.

Onsite parking available for 3-4 cars easily, more with shifting. Driveway parking only…there is NO use of the garage!

The home has been nicely sound-engineered as the 101 freeway is just a quick hop away.

Lovely, spacious home close to many attractions.
This lovely home is very spacious and a quick walk to downtown. A 10 minute drive away from wineries and the beach. We loved walking out the front door for hiking. It is very spacious with more than enough room for a large family. We accommodated 14 forbThanksgiving dinner and had plenty of dish ware and. cooking utensils to choose from.The outdoor patio is quaint and we took advantage of the hot tub. Another bonus is the pool room complete with a wet bar and a pool table...a great place for everyone to hang out.

Absolutely loved this property and SLO! Owners were amazing! Close to everything!
We had an incredible month staying at Jim and Sharon’s home in SLO. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and so well equipped. The kitchen has everything necessary to entertain a very large crowd. The house is stocked w extra linens, towels, beach towels, etc. The inner courtyard is so inviting! We had fun swimming in the lap pool and relaxing in the hot tub and especially enjoyed eating outside in the beautiful weather. The pool table inside was also a fun gathering spot! Such a comfortable and homey place! The house is in a perfect location too! Walking distance to awesome downtown SLO with wonderful restaurants, shopping, the Mission, coffee houses, Thursday’s famous Farmers Market and more! But the house is also on a quiet street directly across from Madonna Mtn! Wonderful hiking, mountain biking and place to view the entire SLO valley. The house is no more than a 15 minute drive to so many things! All the beaches, Montana de Oro, Bishops Peak, just to name a few. It’s paradise for anyone who loves the outdoors...hiking, mountain biking, road biking, sea kayaking, Hearst Castle, wineries, driving Hwy 1, horseback riding, golfing, and more! Finally, it was an absolute joy working with Sharon and Jim both before and during our stay. We have rented many places all over the country but no one has come close to being as friendly, accommodating, helpful, and generous as Jim and Sharon! Our month on Hill St. with family and friends in SLO and the beautiful central coast of California was truly special.

Outstanding property
The house and neighborhood are great. Jim and Sharon are perfect hosts. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything that you need. We have rented homes all over the U.S. and in Europe and never had a house as well stocked as this. The Lincoln Market at the bottom of the hill is a great place to have breakfast or lunch. The house is centrally located to the beach, wine country, downtown SLO, Cal Poly etc. This is a spacious, wonderful home that I hope to get the opportunity to stay in again. Thanks Jim and Sharon!

Great property & location close to downtown SLO
Jim & Sharon are great hosts and very accommodating. The property has everything you need and many consumables are provided. The ~12 minute walk to downtown is a definite plus and there is access to hiking trails directly across the street (Cerro SLO, Lemon Grove Loop, and M Trail). I stayed at the property almost three full months and it was great.

Fabulous Family Friendly Getaway
My family recently had the opportunity to stay at this listing for an extended period of time. Due to an unexpected water leak in our own residence, we were forced to find a property that would not only accommodate a family of 4 but also allow for our 3 dogs to stay as well. The owners, Jim and Sharon, were kind enough to open their house up to us and were willing to work with our unknown estimated construction end dates. Our original request to stay for a 60 day period of time ended up being just short of 4 months. Jim and Sharon were kind enough to allow such flexibility and were extremely understanding of our circumstances. I cannot say enough good things about not only the house but all it had to offer as well. The lap pool, Jacuzzi, pool table and basketball hoop were just a few of the highlights of this house. We were able to spend many nights bbq'ing in the lovely and serene brick patio area. We were also able to have and prepare a lovely Thanksgiving meal in the very well stocked kitchen equipped with every pot, pan and serving dish possible. Located directly across the street is one of the trailheads for Madonna Mountain as well. There is an awesome deli just around the block and desirable downtown SLO is just a short 5 minute walk away. Our family is very thankful for the time we were able to spend at this listing. We would definitely stay here again but hopefully under different circumstances and would highly recommend this listing to others. Jim and Sharon are wonderful and caring people and we can't thank them enough for everything they did for us and for making our stay so enjoyable given the situation.
