The host turned a 1 star into a 5 star review.Minor Negatives: * No handrail on outside stairs.* Only 6 coat hangers in entire unit.* Bed mattress sinks in a bit.* The cleaner walked into our unit, uninvited and surprised us. She said it was a mistake. Major Negatives:* Noise - It's like the upstairs people are in our unit. We heard them watch tv at 3 am, wash their dishes or clothes, stomp, and talk at all hours of the night.The upstairs noise was worse than the street noise, which didn't bother us. Bring ear plugs.* Plumbing -Here's where the plumbing problem turned into the hugest positive.Positives:* Host Care and Attention - This is big. Not only was the host always there to answer any questions from day one of contract acceptance, before we even set foot into the unit, but the host answered texts right away, gave good directions, sent information that covered anything you needed, had the unit very well cleaned and set with amenities, and they immediately (without us ever asking) gave us a refund of our stay when the plumbing broke and overflowed in the tub, toilet, floor. And this plumbing problem, turns out, was not due to anything in the unit. The sewer system in the street was being worked on and the city workers busted the line. The host even got a plumber out the same day on the weekend. Very caring and worked hard.*Very Clean*Good Location* Good Value Would stay again!

The overall impression was very favorable. The one thing that I wish was better were the bed linens. I was alternately hot and cold all night long. Cold without the comforter hot with it. And intermediate light cotton blanket would’ve solved the problem. Place was clean well appointed location information was accurate within Lawrence. If it was noted that the unit was partially below ground level I missed it in the description. The host responded promptly to all my questions. All in all a pleasant experience.

KU women’s weekend

The apartment is in a great location! Walking distance to downtown Lawrence…clean, well-appointed rental. Major downside is it is located in a building with very loud residents. Loud music at late hours and very loud talking/yelling well into the night/morning. Not a fault of the host at all-but if you’re looking for a restful nights sleep this is not the place for you.

KU visit and basketball game

What a perfect place to stay for the weekend, location was great. Just one comment, you may want to take a look at the kitchen table it was very wobbly (we tried to tighten the legs, but it appeared the screws were stripped). Just need probably 2 new screws. We would totally stay here again - location and size of the home for my group was perfect.

Great place right next to Mass St

Nice, clean, cozy spot on the tailend of the student ghetto. Just a short walk from Mass St. Might be a bit rowdy if class is in session, but was nice and quiet over winter break. Host very friendly and responsive. Check in/check out was a breeze. Nice little mock fireplace provided cozy vibes with the snow outside.

Wonderful little basement apartment. Very warm and chic. It was small, but comfortable for two. It would have been too crowded for more. Getting inside was easy, as was parking, and the unit was spotless. There are no comfortable spaces for smokers to sit outside. That would be my only complaint.

Nice place

Overall this was a nice little place to stay. It was comfortable for me as a smaller person but most of the furniture was not big enough to be comfortable for my brother who is 6'3/250. It could also definitely use some more blankets.
