✺ THE EXPERIENCE ✺
Welcome to Casa Bizarra, an adobe home built in 1933 with a rich past. Once the Stratton Adobe, home to Twentynine Palms homesteaders John and Alice Stratton, as well as a host of other colorful early desert dwellers. Featured in 'The Adobes of Twentynine Palms' by Pat Rimmington, a former resident claims that world-renowned American landscape photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams stayed in the guest house while he photographed what was then Joshua Tree National Monument!
Whether you’re here to unwind and relax, or looking to recharge and find inspiration from within, we want you to feel at home as long as you’re here in our sacred space. All we ask is for you to respect the house and land as much as we do, and it will reward you in many wonderful ways ;)

DOUGLAS ★★★★★
This spot is amazing! Great vibes, cozy, clean, and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Not to mention the hosts are fantastic! Very responsive and made the whole process very easy and understandable.
It right at the entrance of Joshua Tree Park so it's a perfect place to stay if you're hiking or doing anything in that area. It's also full of a well curated selection of very cool items and books - great for a creative retreat if you're looking for inspiration.
Also, they have the best "welcome packet" I've ever seen - tells you everything you need to know about 29Palms.
If you're going to be staying in the area, this is your best option by far.

Casa Bizarra is a great getaway for those visiting Joshua Tree
Truly an historic building, the adobe takes you back in time with many authentic original details. Creatively and comfortably decorated. The property was a nice size affording plenty of peace and privacy.
As a host they were extremely communicative, providing an app to guide you as well as a gorgeous guest book waiting on the coffee table.
I would give the highest recommendations for them as hosts and for the location itself.
KHUE ★★★★★

Lots of details. The kitchen is well equipped and upgraded.
The backyard is huge with games to play.
I would definitely come back again.

Casa Bizarra is the vibe while visiting the high desert and JTNP. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor space to sleep/enjoy with friends and fam. The AC works well, the kitchen is up to date, interior decor really sets the mood, and my fave is the fire pit with grill out back. Will definitely be back in the near future.
