Experience Black Mountain from this beautiful location that is walking distance to downtown. We are just steps away from the vibrant Black Mountain Downtown Historic District, famous for its shops, restaurants, breweries and music venues. This charming one bedroom , one bathroom suite is on the main level of the building. The entire town of Black Mountain is walkable, making this the perfect home base for your mountain adventure! This house is over 100 years old and presents itself as such.

Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with a separate entrance. Unit 5 is a SMALL efficiency apartment with a DOUBLE BED (this means bedroom and kitchen are in the same room, with a small adjoining bathroom) with its entrance located on the far right side of the front porch. There are steps that lead up to the front porch. This cheerful 189 sq ft apartment has everything you need for cooking, dining, relaxing and sleeping all in one room. There is also a smart tv you can use to log into your streaming subscriptions. The separate bathroom is surprisingly roomy and bright. There is 1 bed for sleeping up to 2 guests. Due to fire zoning regulations we cannot allow cots or air mattresses on the floor. This home is over 100 years old and sits among large, old trees. Unfortunately due to this setting, insects will often make their way into the home. This is a non smoking property.

We welcome pets, and if you bring one please be considerate of other groups in the building. Please no dogs that bark if you are away. Dogs must be in a crate if left alone. Keep dogs on a leash at all times.

Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge service. Staying with us will require some “self sufficiency”. You can self check in any time after 4pm and self check out any time before 10am on your day of departure. We are available during reasonable hours to address any questions or concerns, but please note that we are not a corporation and don’t have 24 hour staff. This is a very old house with gas furnaces for heat and window units for air conditioning. You may hear your neighbors. But we do ask that all guests be respectful of one another and that guests with pets, not bring barking dogs that will bother others in the house. Our address is 33 Vance Ave, Black Mountain, NC. Unfortunately we can’t offer luggage storage.
