Poplar Lake Lodge ist eine sehr abgelegene 4000 FT. Lodge mit einem großen, gefĂŒllten See in Privatbesitz in Upper Michigan. Zu den Fischen zĂ€hlen Northern, Muskie, Large Mouth, Crappie und jede Menge Pan Fish. Zwei Ruderboote, ein Kanu, ein Paddelboot, zwei Kajaks und ein Trolling-Motor mit Batterie sind im Preis inbegriffen (leider erlauben wir keine Gasmotoren oder GĂ€steboote auf dem See aufgrund von Verschmutzung). Wir sind zentral im Hiawatha National Forest in der Mitte der oberen Halbinsel von Michigan zwischen Lake Michigan und Lake Superior in Delta County gelegen. Ohne stĂ€ndige Bewohner fĂŒr Meilen und eine private Zufahrt 2. 5 Meilen lang und ein verschlossenes Tor 2. 5 Meilen entfernt und 1/2 Meilen von der Lodge, wenn Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit ist, was Sie suchen, ist die Poplar Lake Sporting Lodge Platz fĂŒr dich. FĂŒnfzehn Meilen nördlich von Little Bay De Noc und Rapid River, der Stadt in der NĂ€he, die aufgrund der windigen Straßen eine 35-minĂŒtige Fahrt entfernt ist.

Rapid River Poplar Lake Stay!

I organized a trip for a plan to do some isolated fishing with my family and that’s exactly what we got. The Lodge is very unique in an off grid location in the national forest. We loved the isolation and seclusion. And for the fishing it was great catching pike, black crappie and bass.

We had a great experience here! The fishing was fun - Pike, Muskie, Bass, Perch and Sunfish. The beach area was nice - loved that it had a firepit with cooking tripod. Canoe, rowboats, SUPs, paddle boats, kayaks, life jackets, play area, pool table, foosball, ping pong, tons of board and card games, puzzles, movies, and sand toys all available. Lovely screened in porches. We brought our whole family and our quads - and everyone always had something to do for fun! The host (Charlie) was so sweet and was always available to contact with any questions or issues. Great place to disconnect from the world for a while!!

Charlie was a great host. He was very accommodating. The house had everything you needed. From activities to the well stocked kitchen. The only thing you need to bring is your food. The lodge runs on solar power but honestly you wouldn't even know, it really didn't effect how we went about the day. There is so much to do there that I never heard my 4 grankids say I am bored. As for the 4 adult children they constantly were entertained by what the lodge had available. We never left the property because there was so much to do there. Thank you Charlie.

Family time in the wild U.P.

Our group consisted of my wife, 1 year old son, 87 year old grandma, my dad and his girlfriend, my brother, and our 2 dogs. You can't get a more idyllic or picturesque version of the wilderness in the U.P. than Poplar Lake Lodge. While very remote, Charlie puts a lot of effort into making the grounds and lodge comfortable. The solar power provided most of what we needed, only having to use the generator once for a short while. We caught a lot of fish including a 35" northern pike and 5lb bass! The flies and mosquitos were real but manageable and not overly thick during the day around the lodge. The private road in is rough but our mini van and non-4 wheel SUV made it even with heavy rain. We would definitely stay again.

Reunion in the wilderness

Beautiful rustic resort way back in the wilderness. A beautiful lake in your back yard. We hit it at the peak color season and it was wonderful. The young folk loved the kayaks and bond fires every night. We all had a great time and the host was terrific.

Charlie, was kind enough to accommodate my special request. It was absolutely perfect, we had a lovey Christmas in the woods and the kids had a fantastic time playing in the snow. Mid June vacation

Very nice secluded vacation home. Charles was very helpful. We were able to catch a few Northern Pike following his advice. The 2 fishing boats provided are on the small side. Kids enjoyed the beach, riding the trails and camp fires.

Wonderful! Peaceful & perfect family friendly getaway!

Vacationed at Charlie's Lodge in July with my husband and four children ages 9, 8, 6, & 4. Everything was wonderful. If you're looking for a remote and peaceful get-away-from-it-all vacation, this place is for you! We only left the property once to get some groceries. There was so much to do! Charlie was very attentive and helpful. We definitely plan to come back!

R & R at Poplar Lodge

Charlie is the perfect host! Our family has had a very busy, hectic year and we all needed some time away to rest. The lodge was very clean and well organized. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen in all of our VRBO stays. Charlie's directions to the lodge were spot on. A beautiful relaxing place to rejuvenate and recharge. Charlie went above and beyond to make our stay the best. Definitely will want to come back again!

Was great! Was able to just have family time which is what we wanted. House had everything we needed. Lake was more beautiful in person, could just sit on deck for hours. Boys fished for hours at a time and loved it. Everyone wants to come back next year. Thanks Charlie!

A Little slice of Heaven

Love, Love, Love this property! Very secluded and peaceful on it's own private lake. Had tons of fun fishing and exploring. We brought our own Kayaks, and loved the peaceful rides at dawn and dusk. As Charlie knows, driveway needs some holes filled so per previous comments, bring a car thats a bit higher off the ground. Plenty of fridge space to stock up on your groceries for the week. We've already booked for next year, cant wait to go back!

Perfect vacation!

If you’re looking for relaxation, THIS is the place. It’s our second time coming here, and we love it. Fishing, corn hole, BBQing, Paddle boat, it’s got it. Nice place to go for relaxing and just spending time with family. The updates Charlie did since we were last there are great. The big fridge really helps.
