Great beach access

First trip to the beach with the dog. Many places in the area very dog-friendly, hoping to bring her back in off-season when dogs are permitted on the beach. Accommodations were quaint with lots of character and perfect for sharing with our young-adult children.

Winter Retreat

The location was excellent as it was close to the beach, Oceanic Restaurant and just minutes away from our son's home. It was very clean. We enjoyed time on the sunny porch.

Great Family Beach getaway

This property was spacious and clean — I could smell bleach cleaner when I first opened the door. The paint and floors could use a little freshening up but the beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room. We had an issue with the washing machine during our stay and Bryant responded quickly to get it resolved

Great location. We had some issues with the rental, from cleaning to linens to appliances, and while the property manager was quick to respond, some attention to the property prior to check in would have been better.

Though the closeness to the beach was real good, we thought the house was in need of some upkeep and repair (ceiling in living room is peeling off, strong moldy smell and pretty much everything needs some paint). No mention that there is no dishwasher.

This property is well located by Wrightsville’s south end surfing community by the Oceanic restaurant and pier. However, the unit needs some major renovations. And while the layout and room sizes are great, it’s hard to get by all the things that need fixing or replacing. No cleaning supplies or trash bags provided? Poorly stocked kitchen. Furniture is well worn and stained. Bed comfort: fair. Great place if you want to be close to the beach and good waves. Not so much for a family vacation.

Great location but house needs some updates

My teen daughter and I had a great week in Wrightsville. The location of this property is amazing. However, the house definitely needs some upgrades -- and we're not talking about a lot of money. Simple things like, a refrigerator that is not rusty, memory foam bed toppers, shampoo'd rugs, black out curtains for the bedrooms. The house is old and that's ok but the house could be better taken care of. If this owner is ever looking to sell, look me up!

I'm so happy you loved the unit and the location - being right by the beach access and near all the restaurants and shops is a plus! The carpets and upholstery are regularly carpet cleaned in this unit despite the many permanent stains on the carpets - it is pet friendly so some stains are permanent despite being sanitized. I will make note of all your suggestions and pass them along to the property owner to review! With rental properties, often you pick a project each season to do and the owner just repainted the entire exterior and redid the deck so any additional improvements may be a few more months out - but still very appreciated! I will see what can be done with your suggestions especially the curtains and bed toppers. Again we are so happy you had a lovely stay and appreciate your business, Michelle! Come on back anytime.

The property looked good on the internet. The house needs major work. Rugs need to be replaced and blinds. Needs updated appliances. Need new TVs and updated service. The rent is way to high for what you get.

Sharon, we are so sorry to hear you did not enjoy the Craft property during your visit to Wrightsville Beach. It is very important to us to advertise honestly and feel the photos demonstrate the home accurately as well as the description mentioning the home is an economical and classic 1940s home. Craft is loved by many return vacationers each year who appreciate the original Wrightsville cottages for that rustic charm. The owner is planning for some major upgrades this off season possibly replacing the living room furniture and much more. The lower unit just had all new flooring installed so if you enjoyed the location and coziness of the cottage, that may be an option for your next getaway. The unit was clean & spacious although the A/C vents were black. There was concern that it could have been mold. Limited parking for the unit. During our stay, someone was moving into the downstairs unit. His moving van & vehicle occupied 3 of the 4 parking spaces. Location is great being close to the beach. The road was a little busy and getting in & out was challenging.

Our maintenance and hospitality departments are on call 24/7 and could have quickly addressed your concerns. While our rentals do not include beach chairs as a standard amenity, some owner supply them, although this is not required. Since your departure we have added ice cube trays to the property and found both shower to be in good working order. We truly hope you enjoyed you time in Wrightsville and wish you the best!

Simple pet friendly place steps from the beach

This house was just right! Simple beach house with a great location. Very close to Oceanic and the Crystal Pier ( you can see it from the kitchen window). The kitchen had all the things needed to cook most meals and there is a nice table and chairs on the deck if you prefer to eat outside. The Coffee shop and surf shop are a stones throw away and we’re great places to grab a coffee or smoothie and rent bikes or set up a surf lesson. Beds were decent but note that the 3rd bedroom has a full size bed, not a queen. It is on a main road which had a lot of traffic at certain times of the day and weekend nights there was street noise in the early AM ( we used a sound machine which cancelled out most of the noise at night). Not fancy but very comfortable place to bring your dog with you for a beach getaway!

Duplex review upper unit

Generally, the unit is very dated and could use some much needed updates. The fenced in area for dogs looked much bigger in the picture than actual. Plus fence not safe and pets could easily get out. Would not recommend this unit at all

Not so cute bungalow

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Will never stay here again, it was very dirty. Stains all over rugs (which were cut up pieces of carpet) and furniture. It is close to beach and pier but you are on a pretty busy road.

Perhaps contacting our office directly in the future would be advisable before booking a vacation rental.
