Great to hear you loved the oceanfront location of Crane! The carpets are regularly carpet cleaned as part of regular maintenance, including upholstery. We had them done before the summer season, and most recently Oct 2021 but some permanent stains may still show through. We heavily rely on guest feedback to pass along to our owners to encourage improvements so I will make note of all your comments. All our units are on a regular pest control schedule to help control the "locals", and we can always send out for an additional spray to increase the protection of the home if you let us know. The slider door has since been repaired. We are sorry for the issues you experienced on your stay and hope we can make it up to you on your next visit. Keep in touch!

Dan, we are saddened to hear about your recent experience at the Crane property. I checked into the service orders for the property. We were called the day you arrived about the thermostat being set at 73 but reading 75 with the air barely blowing. We sent out a technician quickly. It was determined an outside vendor was needed and they also arrived quickly, the same day. They worked on the HVAC, increased the fan speed and added refrigerant to the system to get it back up and working correctly. There was a guest in this property for 11 days prior to your arrival and departed on the same day you arrived with no mention of an HVAC issue. We have also had a guest in there two days after you departed with no HVAC issues. While we can’t anticipate an HVAC issue, we did act quickly in order to get the unit corrected. The next call for missing trash cans was on the 26th but found by our tech at the end of the driveway with our Bryant logo stickers clearly marking them. A call for cable not working in the master bedroom also came in on the 26th, where our tech found that the cable box stopped working and a new one needed to be ordered. On your 3rd day it was reported that the shower drains were backing up which we were not given the opportunity to correct. From all these accounts, we acted quickly once notified of the issues. The slider door has been repaired to function more smoothly, we were awaiting parts but due to the supply shortages it was a bit delayed and installed after your stay. We certainly apologize for the issues you encountered as they were not something anyone anticipated. We did decide to issue you a partial refund due to the fact that you were inconvenienced when you arrived by having the HVAC repair work done. We feel that our team responded quickly to your issues and hope you will consider renting with us again on your next visit to Wrightsville. Take care! *Update: as of 2/2022 the owners have replaced carpeting up the stairs and entire upstairs as we

We appreciate your feedback from your recent stay at the Crane property, Anthony! That oceanfront location is tough to beat, especially when you can relax on the deck watching the waves, or be in the sand in seconds! I pulled up the service orders and it looks like the slider door wheels have been replaced and the door tracks lubricated to aid in it's function. The trash we ask that you place the cans at the end of the driveway the night before the assigned pick up days to ensure they are emptied Tuesday and Friday - the trash trucks come early in the morning. We just had the entire unit carpet cleaned including the upholstery and the owner has some updates in the works for this offseason so be sure to keep Crane in mind for your next visit to the beach! Looking forward to next time! *Update: as of 2/2022 the owners have replaced carpeting up the stairs and entire upstairs as well as new hardwood in the bedrooms downstairs.

The views from the decks are so lovely and all the rocking chairs allows for a relaxing vacation. The carpets are regularly carpet cleaned (most recently Oct 2021) but we can understand that they may be worn. The unit was painted last off season but with a busy summer, the walls tend to get scuffed up pretty quick. The slider has since been corrected. The owners recently renovated the bathrooms upstairs, removing wallpaper and painting, as well as installing a new fridge in the kitchen.
