The studio’s layout makes the most of every corner, featuring a plush queen-sized bed dressed with crisp linens and soft pillows to ensure a restful night’s sleep. A comfy sofa doubles as an additional sleeping space, perfect for most guests.

The studio is equipped with a small kitchenette that has everything you need for simple meal preparation, including a fridge, air fryer, induction cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a coffee maker. Start your day with a fresh cup of coffee and take in the peaceful riverside setting, or enjoy your meals al fresco in one of the shared outdoor seating areas. For those who enjoy cooking outdoors, a shared BBQ area is available, where you can grill up your favorite meals with a view of the river.

The bathroom is modern and private, featuring a shower and tub, fresh towels, and complimentary shampoo and conditioner, ensuring your stay is as comfortable as possible. After a day of adventuring, come back to the studio for a refreshing shower and relax in the cozy ambiance of your space.

Outside, the property’s shared amenities offer even more to enjoy. Spend your afternoons lounging on the shared riverside dock, where you can swim, fish, or simply watch the river drift by. In the evenings, gather around the communal firepit to roast marshmallows and share stories under the stars. The large shared yard gives you plenty of space to stretch out, relax, and soak in the natural surroundings.

Cowichan Lake Riverside is a small, family run riverside motel located directly on the Cowichan River in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia. The property offers a peaceful setting with the convenience of being just steps from downtown shops, restaurants, cafes, beaches, and parks.

Guests enjoy comfortable, well maintained suites and studios, each with a kitchenette for light meals. Three units feature river views, and all guests have shared access to the outdoor amenities, including a riverside dock for swimming and relaxing, a BBQ area, and a covered fire pit. The setting is ideal for couples, solo travelers, and guests looking for a quiet, walkable base to explore the Cowichan Valley.

Popular activities nearby include river swimming, kayaking, fishing, walking trails, lake access, and local dining. Everything in town is easily accessible on foot, while the surrounding area offers endless opportunities to enjoy nature.

To maintain a safe and respectful environment for all guests, we have a few standard requirements. All guests must complete a brief identity verification on the day of check in, which may include uploading a government issued photo ID through our secure system prior to receiving self check in instructions. This is a common practice for professionally managed accommodations in Canada.

We also place a 500 CAD pre authorization security hold on the guest credit card 24 to 48 hours prior to check in. This is not a charge and no funds are withdrawn. The hold is automatically released within seven days after check out, provided there are no issues.
