Escape for the weekend to this serene, beautifully appointed 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat just seconds from the shores of Sandusky Bay. Direct fishing access is available through the local bar at the end of the street for a small fee ($5). The property can accommodate up to 4 trucks with fishing boats. Thoughtfully designed and fully furnished, this spacious home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests—perfect for family getaways, friend reunions, or a relaxing retreat.

Unwind under the stars in the new 6-person hot tub, gather around the outdoor fire ring, or cozy up by one of two fireplaces—a gas fireplace in the sun-drenched sunroom and a classic wood-burning fireplace in the living room. (Firewood is provided free of charge for your convenience.) For entertainment, enjoy an Xbox with a collection of games, making downtime just as fun as your adventures out and about.

Location is everything, and this home delivers. You’re within 15 minutes of Cedar Point, Cedar Point Sports Force Park, and the Port Clinton ferries to Kelleys Island, Put-in-Bay, and Middle Bass Island. A local tavern sits just a block away, and a nearby market is only five miles down the road—close enough for convenience, far enough for peace and quiet.

✨ Update: Exciting new features and improvements are currently underway and will not affect existing reservations or future rates. Updated photos are coming soon. One of those exciting features is an all new six person hot tub and patio area. At this time the hot tub will not be available at this property until February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day 💝

Very nice house in a nice quiet area but still close to Sandusky. We enjoyed the hot tub, and other amenities such as Xbox and board games. Would definitely recommend, it was so much better for our family than staying in separate hotel rooms.

Overall, our 10-night stay was sufficient and worked for what we needed, but there were several cleanliness and maintenance concerns that affected our experience.First, I want to give Preston credit for being very communicative. He responded quickly to messages before and during our stay, which I appreciated. The neighborhood was also quiet which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, overall cleanliness was the biggest concern. The bunk bed room had a very strong musky odor, similar to cat urine, that made it unusable for the colleagues who planned to sleep there. Shortly after arriving, our dog found a stack of beef sticks underneath the living room couch. Preston apologized when notified, but no effort was made to address it further. The master bedroom also needed attention. The fitted sheet did not fit the bed and repeatedly popped off, the comforter smelled strongly of cologne, and the pillowcases were ripped. There was also a sticky substance on the nightstand drawers. Additional concerns included what appeared to be mouse droppings in the very messy kitchen utensil drawer and outdoor areas that had not been cleaned. We also chose not to use the grill or hot tub due to the overall cleanliness concerns. The home has nice features and furnishings, which made these issues more surprising. We made the best of the stay, but it did not meet our expectations for cleanliness.

Thank you, Jamie for the feedback that you have provided. We take cleanliness as our top priority. To provide our guest with a clean environment and living space. As you have mentioned in your feedback, there was a stack of beef sticks that was left behind during the cleaning. In which I addressed and apologized and let you know that they were not of any concern other than could be tossed out. Your other concerns that you placed into the feedback you never mentioned any of those issues to me during your stay. I’m actually very surprised that you did not reach out other than the first day of your stay at the property. I had even checked in with you three days into your stay just to make sure everything was OK and you never responded or raised any concern while I was out at the property doing light maintenance to the hot tub area. As far as a cat urine smell, we have not had any tenants in the last eight months have a cat at the property. I also provided you with a secondary person of contact if there was any issues if you could not reach me.

We had a lovely stay at Pat's bach! Very cosy and warm in the winter, lots of entertainment options (and a fabulous CD collection), and close to Levin for supply runs. We even managed to go swimming!

This place was perfect. Thousands of families come to Sandusky for Nextstar NAtionals and this place is by far one of the best. The commute to the convention center was short. The accomodations were perfect for a family of 5 with a dog. Everything was provided and the host was responsive and professional. Definitely would stay again.

Rooms were broken up and room with large TV did not have much seating, but furniture and beds were comfy. Host very responsive to questions.Problem was hot tub is NOT an 8 person!! We had 4 adults and overflowed a great deal of water. Quite cramped with no leg room and not very relaxing.Neighborhood quiet and bar/restaurant at end of street was great. Great getaway with family.

Thank you for your review of the Rainbow property. We take the feedback from our guest very seriously. There are always improvements that are being made to make our guests stay better. In response to the tub and spacing. Keeping in mind that this hot tub is an octagon and has seating for up to 8 guest. As far as the water level, that is to be expected a large amount of water is to overflow, especially as the amount of guests that are in it. The overflow of water does not affect the functionality of the hot tub. There is a water hose in the hot area, if the level is too low, it maybe filled by guest, which in the past had guests reach out to make sure it was okay to fill. Thank you for the review! Our stay in Vickery was fantastic! Preston was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and made everything so easy from check-in to check-out. The space was comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights was Rum Runner Cove—such a fun spot with great staff and a perfect atmosphere right on the water. Just walking distance. We loved the peaceful vibe of the area and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend Preston’s place if you’re visiting the Sandusky area.
