Lovely condo with gorgeous sound views.

Everything about our stay was awesome except for the steep steps, which were only difficult for me. Fortunately there were children and grandchildren to carry stuff.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check in, location and the size of the house was perfect for our family beach trip! The only downfall was we did not have a kitchen trash can to throw away trash. Also leading up to check in I reached out to the host about a question a week in advance. No response. I had to call the day before to get our check in information. In the past this information was provided to me 3 days before.

Sunset Horizon

Fenced back yard is inaccurate and shouldn't even be advertised- there is a fence but it has several broken pickets so not safe to allow pet off lease. It is also not attached to the condo.All furniture is old, uncomfortable, even for a short time.Mattresses have seen better days, but linen was clean and house was clean.Washer did not work properly. Left a voicemail and a text to Maven with no response. So don't plan to wash laundry.You will get plenty of exercise- 2 bedrooms on second floor, living area and bedroom on top floor- 32 steps from the parking area.Property is relatively close to the beach after crossing the main road in Surf City.

Disappointing stay

Upon arrival we had to contact rental company about some issues with the house. We received no response regarding any of these issues. The trash cans were full that were outside. There was no trash cans in the house we had to use make shift garbage bags. None of the remotes would work and batteries had to be purchased and replaced for use. There were no paper goods upon initial arrival as complimentary for a rental. There were not enough bath towels provided as apart of the rental fee. There was no broom available to use to assist with clean up. The beds had no box springs and all the queen size beds had large gaps that you would fall through. The washer and dryer did not work. These issues were not corrected or acknowledged by the rental company. I do not recommend renting the house given the issues and the lack of response from the rental company responsible for maintaining the property.

Perfect! Don’t let the negative reviews scare you away. I am PICKY and I’m not going to lie, those reviews had me very worried. I am happy to say, we had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, has new washer and dryer, beds were cozy, the fenced area has been repaired and the location was perfect. A short (less than 5min walk) to the beach access. The living room furniture has been well used, but was still comfortable. The first floor is an entrance, 2nd floor is a master bedroom and bath, bed room with personal full bath and laundry. 3rd floor is a bedroom and bath, kitchen and living room.
