Palm Coast condo

Great clean condo with comfy beds, large balcony, and very quick and easy access to beach. Two pools to choose from. We swam at the pool that you could walk right out on the beach from. The balcony could use a ceiling fan for some air movement on hot summer nights as I noticed several other condos did have. Otherwise, a very nice, safe place to stay as it is a gated community.

We were so impressed with our stay, the view, the property, the gated access, the community pool, everything was magical. Everything was as described. Yes, the furniture was a little dated from the early 2000's BUT we were there for Ocean and the VIEW. We were able to eat our meals on the balcony each day. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Condo

We absolutely loved this condo. Beautiful views of the ocean. It was wonderful to hear the waves against the beach right from the condo. It was just as the pictures looked other than the balcony was a different color and had different furniture. The close access to the beach and to the swimming pools were fantastic. Everything was clean other than cobwebs and dead bugs on the balcony.

Vacation stay

The property was very good except for one thing. It was very clean but smelled like mildew. Not sure what was causing the smell but it was bad enough that even my clean clothes in suitcase had to be washed because the smell was on them. Otherwise it was a very nice place to stay.

We all Loved our stay!

So blown away with the the staff at vtrips. All of you are rock stars! We were informed at check-in there was an issue with the air conditioner in the unit, then found it was going to have to be replaced. Spoke with Kathy and within 10 minutes we were set up with another unit. Prior to our stay, received several emails with info and instructions, and always got a timely response to all my questions. No issues during our stay. This unit is beautiful and spacious, we had plenty of comfortable beds, towels, kitchen supplies ECT. My family was impressed! We had a wonderful vacation!

Nice Space could use some attention

Good size and plenty of space for our family of 7. Outdoor seating was great for enjoying the ocean view while we ate. Beds need to be updated, the queen was hard as a rock. And the dryer took almost 3 hours to dry a batch of 5 towels- so that should be looked in to. There were only 2 non-bath towels, so we had to use bath towels for the pool and beach. We enjoyed our time spent in the condo and took advantage of the pool & splash pad for the little one.

Great property, wish we knew about the rocks!

The condo was clean, had a great view and location, easy walking distance to the pools and with a beach walkover right next to our building. The beds leave a little to be desired but I know that is also personal preference. A couple annoying things - through no fault of the homeowner - you could hear every step the upstairs neighbor took. So little feet running around and people walking with heavy heels at all hours of the night was kind of annoying. The ceiling fan in the living room didn’t work but we had box fans brought to us by the rental company so those helped. The fridge might be on its way out as we noticed drinks weren’t really as cold as they should be but it did the job for the few days we were there. We loved the area and it was generally quiet and everyone was considerate of others. Now for the rocks. We checked in at 4pm and the tide was already up on the shore. The beach looked amazing just as it did the next morning. However as the guys in our group walked in, they tripped over these massive rocks! There is a sign that says to watch out for rocks but these were massive and hard to see and step over. Once the tide came down we realized HOW MANY rocks were there and how big! With the tide lower it was easy to see and make a path out to the ocean or to the pools that they created near the shore. But with our little ones it was hard to enjoy walking into the ocean. It just would’ve been nice to know it wasn’t a sandy beach like i think most people expect.

Excellent location, dated unit that needs attention

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend 2022 (2 adults, 2 children under 12). While it's an incredible location and we love Ocean Hammock Resort Condos (the pools are great, and this unit has a gorgeous beach view), the unit itself was very dated and in need of repair. Here are the pros/cons that we found: PROS: Location, ocean view, elevator, steps from the beach, beach toys (umbrella, boogie boards, mats), large balcony (although watch out - there's bird poo on several of the old chair cushions, but I realize that can't be helped!), fully stocked kitchen, roomy. CONS: Just some maintenance issues, and things that could be repaired without a costing a lot. The TVs are all tiny and very dated - the TV in the master bedroom only had sound, but no picture, so it wasn't usable. The mattresses feel at least 15+ years old and are very stiff - sleeping on the master bedroom's mattress gave both my husband and me a backache. None of the window coverings worked or were adjustable, which was annoying for kids who are used to darker rooms at night. The master bedroom vertical blinds on the sliding door were missing blinds, and the window over the master desk had no workable blinds at all (I had to use a hair clip to fasten the decorative drapes together.) The master shower door did not close - the door magnets were off. The screen door on the master sliding door was totally off and just leaning on the glass sliding door. We wouldn't have left a screen door open in early Sept, but it would be nice in cooler weather to have it open and hear the waves. The carpet was stained in several spots. The dated furniture didn't really bother me, but it looks at least 20+ years old. Just little things that wouldn't take a lot to repair and improve would go a long way for this unit. We'll definitely stay in Ocean Hammock again, but not in this unit.

Great view of the ocean!

Overall a really nice place to stay! The location was incredible for beach access and pool. It could use a little updating, and the dish items needed to be rewashed etc. It served our purpose very well though! The pool and grille was a hit with the family/kids, and the staff their was super friendly!!

Good Condo with View!

This condo was perfect for our family that included 3 adults, 3 teenagers, our 17 month old and 3 month old. It is very spacious, nice decor, and the view of the beach is amazing! We especially liked the size of the master bathroom and master bedroom access to the balcony. It is a short walk to the two amazing pools (our kids loved the kiddie pool) and the entire community is perfect for families. There are a few things if the owner would upgrade to, we would give this unit 5 stars. One big problem we had was with the dryer. We had to contact the maintenance dept several times about the dryer not working properly. It would not dry our clothes. This was super aggravating, especially having little ones and the amount of laundry I have to do on daily basis. Now throw in sand, sweat, and all the wonderful things babies leave for us. A dryer is a complete necessity for our family. It would be nice if the mattresses where upgraded. I don’t expect tempur pedic quality but the master bed had me begging for bed at home by the end of my stay. And we don’t do much cooking on vacation, but the pots and pans we used where awful. They are old and just need to be replaced. So if you like to cook, you may find yourself frustrated using in what’s available. But overall our stay was great and would definitely like come back to this area!

Nice community

Children’s water park was closed 3 days out of 5. Not adequate amount of towels or washcloths and dryer didn’t dry very well. Beach had large rocks which kept you from going very far in the ocean. It wasn’t a bad place to stay but not what we had thought it would be for the money.

Awesome Views

We had a great time exploring the area. We visited Washington Oaks State Park, both the garden and the beach. Also, had some wonderful meals at the local restaurants. Can’t wait to come again.

Suggestions

We loved the area, however the furnishings are not comfortable and need to be updated. The beds and pillows also need updating. For families that actually cook, there are cooking untensils lacking. Lightbulbs need to be changed outside and light switches were confusing.
