This was our second time to stay at The Inn. This condo is dated and not well maintained. The location is perfect. We love DI. We will be back but plan to stay in a different room.

Peaceful getaway

The condo was a prefect fit for me, my husband, our 18yr old daughter, and her boyfriend. It was quite and good loctaion. The pools were very nice and the boardwalk provided great beach access. We arrived a tad early and were able to communicate with host and check-in about 45 mins early. The island vibes are awesome. We went to the fish market for crab and shrimp and went to Pirates bar and grill for a fun local spot. Check in and check out were simple and easy.

This was the first time my husband and I had been to Dauphin Island. This condo was in a great location and was a great spot to relax, reconnect, and restore. We liked how local eateries were within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Great Property! Beautiful Beach. We had a great stay in Dauphin Island. The property is very comfortable and well-supplied. Only minor issue, it would be nice if there was on-site security at the property. 2 out of the 5 nights of our stay, the condo below us had loud parties that lasted past 12:30am.

We loved our time hereā€”the only complaint is we wanted more time!! :) (Quick recommendation: an update to the shower heads would be a good investment! Also, the unit would be absolutely PERFECT if that garden tub were a jacuzzi!!) Thanks so much!

Only for the view/beach access

Well, if youā€™re mostly looking for a place with a good view and beach access this is your place. If amenities like nice feeling bed linens ( with bedspreads that donā€™t feel greasy like they havenā€™t been laundered in a long time) and living room furniture that feels VERY worn- donā€™t choose this unit. Weā€™ve been spoiled by other places that are well maintained and generous with considerations like water bottles, snacks, k-cup machines, updated ā€œto dosā€ in the area paperwork, toiletries like Kleenex, bath wash, shampoos,etc. We will choose different accommodations next time. Oh, did I mention that they gave us the wrong entrance code?

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. Condo had a beautiful view of the beach. However the pier needs to be longer to the beach. It ends in the marsh area and there was a huge body of marsh water that we had to walk through to get to the beach. One day we turned back because there was a snake. Secondly, there needs to be a brightly lit up sign at night showing which condo building is which. Because there are four buildings right together and if you come in at dark itā€™s hard to tell which condo is the right one because thereā€™s no neon sign or anything lit up. When you find The gate you have to enter a pin in a Keypad. And finding the keypad in the dark is also a challenge. It would be great if it was lit up with a sign also. The pools were beautiful and clean. Our grill was broken and we had to wait till the next day to get a replacement, they had it there that following morning. Other than those few challenges I recommend this condo and this place. It was a beautiful place and not crowded.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time on Dauphin Island. We loved the quietness and lack of commercialism. Dauphin Island is the perfect place to go to unplug and focus on relaxing and spending quality time with your family. The condo seemed to be rented all by families with young children, so it is quiet at night (no annoyingly loud tenants staying up late to party). Also, we were impressed with the fact that we did not hear anyone on either side of us nor above us: no voices through the walls or stomping of feet above us. It must be very well built and insulated. There are three different condos all in a row. The Inn at Dauphin Island is the one furthest to the west. I think it must be older than the other two. It was a bit "used" but still clean. Also, even though the three condos were side-by-side, the beach directly behind The Inn was less crowded.Many people were fishing right from the beach and were catching lots of fish. We enjoyed spotting the dolphins swimming parallel to the beach. The property management employees were friendly and very helpful.I definitely would like to come back!

Nice location but had some cons

This was our first visit to dauphin island. The location of the unit was mid island and easily accessible. The unit itself was cute- but upon arrival and opening the door it smelled musty. The hall bathroom tub still had sand in it from the previous stay. The kitchen appeared clean and well stocked but there had been cleaner sprayed on the fridge that never got wiped off and was still wet. Other than that, all was well until we went to the beach and borrowed the units white towels since there are no beach towels furnished (or beach anything for that matter.) The white towel I had rolled up and had my head on the whole day had what looked to be brown poop on it- dried. I had pulled it straight out of the ā€œcleanā€ linen closet so that was upsetting. Overall it was a pleasant stay but these things need to be addressed by whoever cleans the unit. If you arenā€™t familiar with dauphin- know that there arenā€™t many restaurants, zero grocery stores, and not much for teens to do here. It was a relaxing place for my husband and I but the kids missed all the souvenir stores and such. The people here are super nice and very helpful and views are gorgeous- although it was super hazy every day. And of note- not shown in the pics are the oil drilling sites off the coast so it interferes with pics of the open ocean. We did enjoy golf and putt putt, the aquarium, the fort and the ice cream shop. Islanders was a decent restaurant as was Pirates.
