Our 650 sqft property offers a comfortable and inviting space for your stay. The home features two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living area. It's clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families attending military graduations at Ft. Leonard Wood.

The bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping arrangements, ensuring a restful night's sleep for everyone. The backyard offers a peaceful outdoor retreat, great for morning coffee or evening barbecues, and it's ideal for families with kids.

You'll find modern amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi and three flat-screen Roku TVs for your entertainment. The proximity to town and dining options make it convenient to explore the area and enjoy local cuisine.

Whether you're here for a military graduation or simply looking for a clean and cozy retreat, our property is designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Guest Access

During your stay, you'll have access to the entire property, including both bedrooms, the fully equipped kitchen, the cozy living area, and the relaxing backyard. Feel free to make yourself at home and enjoy all the amenities provided for your comfort and convenience. Please note one bedroom closet is locked and will not be available for guest use.

Before booking, here are some special details to enhance your stay:

Military Graduations: Our property is conveniently located for guests attending military graduations at Ft. Leonard Wood. The Nest if 5.4 miles from the front gate which is an 11-minute drive in normal traffic. Please allow extra drive-time on Family Day and Graduation Day due to traffic.

Quiet Neighborhood: We're situated in a peaceful neighborhood, so we kindly ask guests to respect the tranquility of our community, especially during late hours.

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in times are sometimes flexible but check-out times are often firm to allow time for cleaning before the next guest. Please let us know your estimated arrival and departure times in advance, so we can make arrangements to accommodate your schedule.

Local Recommendations: We're happy to provide recommendations for dining, attractions, and activities in the area. Feel free to ask for suggestions to make the most of your stay.

Our small space does not have room for a dining table, so we’ve provided 4 collapsible tray tables.

A baby crib and high chair are available upon request.

The Nest is welcoming, cozy, and comfortable. Mike and Jennifer go out of their way to provide a home away from home. The space is filled with books, games, and tons of info about local attractions. On top of this, they provide those little extras you may forget while traveling - toothpaste, body wash, etc. They even make sure the cupboards have more than basic spices with a fully appointed kitchen. Honestly, this is the best, most welcoming vacation rental we have stayed in.

This place is exactly as advertised, clean, updated and very close to Fort Leonard Wood. It had everything we needed and they did a great job decorating the place and having all the essentials to cook and stay there! Highly recommend!

Very nice updated home. Super clean, one of the cleanest VRBOs I've stayed at. Super quiet neighborhood. Also, the house must be very well insulated as you can barely hear outside noise. Our only complaint would be the dehumidifier that is quite loud and runs almost constantly. Other than that, we'd definitely stay at the nest again if we were traveling to the area.

Cute and comfort place.

This place was really cute and made you feel relaxed. The place had everything you could ask for and the location is just man quiet area with the forest to the back of the house. The hostess awesome. We had issues with the door code and he was Johnny on helping us. It is a great place to stay if you are visoting Ft Lenard wood .

This home was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with so much thought and care. The living room furniture was incredibly comfortable, and the extra blankets made it perfect for cozy nights on the couch watching a show. The beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable as well.The house is located in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood, making it a relaxing place to stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook, including quality cookware, utensils, and a generous selection of seasonings and sugar to enhance any meal.The owners went above and beyond by leaving a sweet thank-you note along with some delicious chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. We only wish the weather had been a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the backyard and deck more—they truly are a highlight of the property.We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning on our next visit to town.

Rest at the Nest!!

This was 5plus stars! Quiet, clean, cozy, just perfect. Outside firepit, few neighbors, nothing but trees in the back. Beds comfy and very welcoming!!close to Fort Leonard wood where we went. Great food nearby. Great communication with the owners. You definitely should stay! I was there 3 nights, and enjoyed every second! Games to play books to read!

The perfect cute and cozy home

We came to Waynesville for my husband's basic training graduation at Fort Leonard Wood. The house was close to the base as well as stores in town. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so much better than a hotel experience. We were able to cook/grill and relax with our soldier. The owners were very communicative and helpful. The place was clean. We are so glad we chose the Nest for our visit. Thank you Mike and Jennifer for such a pleasant stay.
