This place was great for our group of 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 5 and 8). The kitchen, dining area, and one bedroom look out on the Sturgeon River. There is a generously sized kitchen and dining table, perfect for hanging out, talking and cooking, and playing games. The cabin was well-appointed and it's clear a lot of thought went into making it comfortable for guests. There were lamps by each bed, toiletries, fishing gear, board games, a CD-player, and even THREE nightlights! (I always forget to pack those). We day tripped to Petosky, Traverse City, Gaylord, and Mackinac Island pretty easily from here. A few notes: you have to bring your own sheets and bath towels. Pillows, blankets, and kitchen towels are provided. There is a charcoal grill. There are only a few TV channels and the selection of DVDs for grown ups is hurting, so you might want to bring your own (there is a Blue-ray player). Also no Wifi. Cell service was fine and we brought a T-mobile hot spot to help with our wifi needs.
