This 4 bedroom/2 bath dog friendly luxury vacation rental in Lake Tahoe has custom remodeling and finishing not typically seen in a rental cabin including hand shaved cherry wood floors, reclaimed wood wains-coating, chef's kitchen with commercial stainless appliances and granite counter tops, spacious back deck with bench and patio seating, gas BBQ, custom carved Adirondack twig railings, tiled steam shower with 8 shower heads, heated tile floors & towel rack, and brand new 6 person hot tub. Guests will find million dollar appointments without the million dollar price.

The luxury Tahoe vacation home accommodates 8 guests and is also centrally located to the three main north shore ski areas (Northstar, Alpine Meadows and Diamond Peak) and in the summer, the rental home is within walking distance of the conveniences in Carnelian Bay including a dog friendly beach in north Tahoe (Watermans Landing), Magic Carpet miniature golf course, view terms and conditions and application for ski leases and winter information & activities.

*For larger groups including family reunions and weddings, this north Tahoe luxury vacation home is a few doors away from the Welch North Shore Vacation Rental Home.

All Agate Bay Realty vacation rental properties are fully equipped with free high speed wireless internet, linens, bath towels (equal to the maximum occupancy of the house), pots/pans, dishes, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster, TV/TV's with streaming services, washer & dryer and barbecue (many are only usable in the summer). The house will also provide a starter set of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.

Family time

We enjoyed staying at this property. It was easy to find. It was a short drive to restaurants and the beautiful lake. Six people fit cozy in this cabin. My son in law had his challenges with the angle ceiling and shower but with being 6’5” that happens. It was a nice cabin to stay at.

Love the location

Property was everything we expected and more. The outdoor dining area was perfect for our family size, we used it daily. The interior design, specifically tile and wood work was more intriguing than the pictures reveal. My favorite, the tree slab & limb deck railing & interior decorations. Our group's favorite characteristics; short walk to two dog friendly beaches, plenty of room to park, quiet/peaceful/practically no car traffic neighborhood and as mentioned the outdoor dining area. The host, Agate Bay Realty, was also a pleasant surprise with nearly instant response to questions, that frankly were unnecessary due to the written and online info provided in advance.

Well appointed, little dirty

The unit is very well appointed. Appliances are 5star, bathrooms are spacious and showers are very nice. Furniture is pretty dirty, dusty. Couches are broken down and the mattresses are basically trash and need to be replaced. There was a lot of dog waste in the yard that was not picked up, I mean quite a lot.

Overall this house was very clean and the owners take care of their house. But luxury should not be included in the title of this. Rustic for sure, but nothing about this house is luxurious. We left after 1 night of a 5 night rental.This house comes with as many rules as their are pots, pans, utensils around the kitchen - a lot. From the moment you walk in the door, you are bombarded by the many many DONTs that this place imposes on you - and all in 9 point font - so bring your reading glasses.If you want to make any noise outside that may be heard from the street (only a few feet away) then this is not the house for you. This includes listening to any music whatsoever when you are in the hot tub (eventhough built in speakers can be seen mouted to roofline above you).Everything is old and lumpy. The sofas are as lumpy as the beds. Not comfortable at all. Everything seems to be many many years old.DIY install of refrigerator still shows chisel marks and exposed dryall where owner seems to have cut the hole in the wall himself. I'm all for DIY projects, but this is another example less than luxury.Upstairs is just creepy and dark. Personal opinion here, but going upstairs was odd. Because it was so dark, low ceiling height, crammed together beds, and many clear tubs (and used soda cups and straws from years gone by) were under beds.
