Dunedin is filled with delectable dining spots specializing in fresh, local fare. The Island Outpost, within walking distance, is an open-air restaurant serving contemporary American cuisine. Try the mahi mahi; it's divine! If you head downtown, just two short miles away, you can enjoy the flavors of Mexico at Casa Tina's, serving authentic "south of the border" dishes. Or, head to the Old Bay Cafe for casual, waterfront dining, The Black Pearl for an elegant date night, or The Living Room, for gourmet tapas-style food in an elegant, Old World setting.
When in Florida, you gotta hit the beaches. It's a rule! And Dunedin has two of the best along the entire Gulf Coast: Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island. At Honeymoon, you can rent water sports equipment, collect shells or grab a grouper sandwich in the beachfront snack shack. Then, climb aboard the ferry or take one of our kayaks to Caladesi, one of Florida's protected barrier islands, to enjoy one of the most beautiful natural beaches you'll ever see.
If your older kids are itching for some fun, then rent a sailboat, paddleboards or jet skis within easy walking distance of Nautical Landings.
From touring the sponge docks of Tarpon Springs to enjoying a crazy theme-park day at Busch Gardens in Tampa to cheering on the Dunedin Blue Jays, you'll have plenty of opportunities to have a blast with the family.
Check out The Pinellas trail - it's right outside our door! - for an adventure-packed bike ride through quaint downtown cityscapes and scenic coastal areas.
Our kayaks are always available, too. Hop aboard (don't forget the shoes!) and check out the outlying islands in St. Joseph's Sound or meander through the mangroves along Caladesi's shoreline.
You can run along the Honeymoon Causeway. You can pick up a game of sand volleyball at Clearwater Beach. You can swim the ocean waters right off the dock. Whatever your passion, there's an activity for you to fully enjoy your stay!
