Thank you so much for your review and I am so sorry that your stay was disappointing. With now using instant booking and the automated acceptance, I had no chance of conveying that I stay in the garden studio below - which I have always done. This has happened with one other guest also and I am very sorry for this slip in communication. I have now amended the description to reflect this. I also apologize for the 'random man and his dog'. My yard/garden helper came by unannounced. I also did not know he was there. Regarding the grill, unfortunately there was a mishap (thank goodness not serious) - so I am in the process of procuring an electric grill. I would like to offer you a 50% discount on another 3-day visit next season; as it is important to me that you have a wonderful vacation.

Thank you so much for the review. The trains do go through and definitely make a sound! Other guest reviews have also mentioned the trains; as I have also in response to them. I want to sincerely apologize for not clearly communicating that I was staying in the garden studio suite (completely separate from the rest of the house) during your stay. Because I started using the automated booking system, it didn’t give me a good way to highlight that in advance; thus it wasn’t made as obvious as it should’ve been. A friend did visit for a short while on my private patio and I’m truly sorry that you heard the voices. I have now edited the proper description to clearly stated that the host may be staying on site. Regarding ants; summertime does attract sugar ants, and it is very important not to leave anything(especially anything sweet) in the open and on the counters. Having said that, fresh ‘ant hotels’ have been purchased to keep things in check. I did ask several times if everything was OK and whether you needed anything. It would have been very much appreciated if concerns had been voiced then. Even in writing would have worked just fine! As mentioned to you in an email, there were other places I could have stayed. It is Truly Important to me that my guests have an amazing time. I very much appreciate your feedback. It helps me make sure I communicate details more clearly, and well ahead of time.

Hello! Thank you so much for your review. I am so sorry that I failed to let you know about the couple that was downstairs in my suite. I was doing friends of a friend a favour and It was very last minute. Regarding internal access from downstairs - there is a door lock latch upstairs so that there is no internal access (unless it is kept open by you). Regarding the shower: Unfortunately, I know that the shower is out of plumb. The fellow that installed it didn’t take into account that it’s an older house and did not level it accordingly. I will see if I can somehow have that 'fixed' without having to rip it out. Regarding ants: I have never had complaints about ants in the living room & I will take remedial action right away. Having said all that, I would like to reimburse you $100 for the lack of communication and your troubles . Again thank you for your feedback - it is much appreciated.
