The House with the Blue Door

The house has been recently updated and is the perfect space to stay while on vacation, traveling for work or for kids tournaments! We are a short drive to Norman’s new soccer field complex, Reaves Park and all things OU! We are just a few minute walk to a grocery store and Chick Fil A. The house is located near many food options and shopping options!

We travel with our kids and have tried to keep families in mind with the house! The master bedroom purposely has space for a toddler bed or Pack N Play. The master bedroom also has a wonderful chair for morning coffee, reading or relaxing! It has an en-suite half bathroom and walk in closet.

All bedrooms have room darkening blinds. The 2 other bedrooms have large closets as well.

Our living room is spacious for watching Roku TV or playing the board games and puzzles included in the TV hutch.

The dining room comfortably seats all 6 guests at a large rectangular table. We also strive to have a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, casserole dishes, an air fryer, toaster, oven and more!

We would love to host you and your crew!Checkout instructions:

Please strip any sheets off of the beds that you sleep in and place them on the floor next to the bed.

Please place all used towels in a pile on the floor in the bathroom.

Please load and run the dishwasher.

Please take out any trash from the kitchen and bathrooms.

This was a perfect house for 2 best friends going off to OU and their stressed out Moms. The house is spotless clean, the beds are comfortable, they even had cold waters in the fridge and coffee! That was very welcome after a long drive. We will definitely be back!

I visit Oklahoma frequently and have stayed at a number of properties, but none have compared to this one. First off Megan, the host was lovely. Very quick to reply to messages and friendly and helpful in her responses. The property was in a very ideal location for the purpose of my trip. House was clean with many thoughtful touches throughout. The bed in the primary bedroom was extremely comfy and the bedding was very cozy. Backyard was great with a giant tree that provided a lot of shade, perfect for sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or an iced tea in the evening. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and wish it were available for my next 2 trips, but can definitely see why it would book out quickly

Perfect in every way!

My husband, son and I were in town from TX for a week long visit for a baseball tournament and added this VRBO to our stay our last 2 nights. Meagan was the sweetest, most accommodating host we've ever had, and we have stayed at quite a few places. The home was clean and cozy and a perfect set-up for traveling with our dogs. We were able to cook all our meals on site and had every pot/pan/utensil we could have ever needed, and enjoyed our morning coffee on the back porch. The washer and dryer were super helpful, as I could wash clothes daily and not have to go home to a pile of dirty laundry. PRAISE!! The shower was great - good water pressure and the beds were super comfy. The backyard was big and secure for our dogs. We took them on walks in the neighborhood in the evenings and felt safe. Loved that it was a less than 10 min drive from the OU stadium where we were playing, with lots of restaurants to choose from close by. If you are considering this one, look no further! If we could give it 10 stars, we would!!

The house was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood, quick and convenient to stores and things to do. It was great to have access to wash laundry in the middle of our trip. Megan was great to help us find a place to watch fireworks on 4th of July!The furniture all looked great and appeared in great condition (no tears, stains or ripping). Having more linens would have been nice (6 people but very limited supply of towels and only 3 wash clothes). We went to the store and bought more. The furniture was not very comfortable for long term lounging and the beds were of different comfort levels than we are used to so we had a hard time sleeping. Someone else might sleep great but we did not. Again... Very clean. Nice updates in the home with new appliances and fresh paint. It was home during our long weekend in OKC and we are grateful for it!

Home away from home.

I canceled my hotel when I found this gem last minute before summer camp at OU. It was just what I needed with two teenagers after a long family road trip we had taken prior. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make home cooked meals and truly felt like home. (There’s plenty of options for eating out nearby too) Communication with owner was great. We had one small issue with a toilet and she was there to take care of it asap. I would definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.

The home was very clean, comfortable seating and bedding. Walked in and the temperature was set on 68 which was fantastic since it was a warm day. Close to concert venue and University of Oklahoma. Communication with friendly and easy. Would definitely recommend!!

Comfortable, clean, and quiet.

We enjoyed a long weekend- meeting up with family. A quiet street in a good physical location for getting around in Norman or jotting over to Moore or OKC. Definitely would rent again.
