Ihr eigener exklusiver Kai sorgt bei Ebbe für großartiges Schwimmen und einen kleinen Kiesstrand. Das Cottage ist 20 Minuten von Peggy's Cove und 30 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Halifax entfernt. Das malerische, historische Prospect Village liegt nur 5 Fahrminuten entfernt und bietet einen der besten Wanderwege in Nova Scotia. Das Haus ist komplett mit Bettwäsche und grundlegenden Internet-Service ausgestattet. Das Haus bietet Platz für 5 Gäste bequem in 3 kleinen Schlafzimmern. Eines hat eine Reihe von Kojen, das zweite Schlafzimmer hat ein Einzelbett und das dritte Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett.

Only 30 minutes out of Halifax and you’re facing the water off a dock… you couldn’t ask for anything else!! Janice’s place was the perfect setting for my family and me relax while still being close enough to Halifax and Peggy’s Cove. Will definitely recommend

Perfect spot between the city and nature.

What a great little cottage on the water. Right in nature but close enough to everything. There's a costco / walmart at 18 min drive. Place has everything needed for a good stay. You can enjoy the city or walk the shores for hours. We really enjoyed this place. Janice was super nice and helpful during our stay.

Lovely waterfront cottage

This rustic cottage was perfect for our stay in NS. Close to Halifax and about an hour away from Lunenburg, it was a great place for a quiet getaway Our host, Janice, was extremely attentive to our needs.

Prospect cottage NS

Very nice cottage by the sea shore with a wharf and small beach.. Friendly helpful owners who reside nearby and respond to needs and questions quickly and fix what might need fixing. Price was very fair. We stayed for 3 weeks, which was longer then owners were accustomed to so we could have used a washing machine, which it did not have. But we had a work-around and that was manageable. All in all, well worth it and owners helpful and friendly.

Stunning view

Wonderful cottage. It was perfect! The view from the dock is incredible. We were able to see the tide go up and down. It’s so relaxing listening to the waves. I would definitely recommend. Janice is quick to respond.

Pleasant

Nice scenic area, enjoyed sitting on the dock and enjoying the ocean and a drink. Enjoyed a barbecue on the deck with friends. The walk down the path and stairs can be a challenge for more elderly people though. But all in all a nice place to relax and enjoy a vacation. Owner was very helpful and kind and quick to address any concers.

Cosy spot

Cozy and rustic spot with a nice dock on beautiful Prospect Bay. Close to many great locations for hiking near coastline but also close to Halifax for day trips on rainy days. Janice was always responsive and helpful.

Great location and water front

The place is perfectly situated and the water front is a million dollar view. The place is very cottage/cabiny so just be prepared for buggy things, spiders etc that you'd expect from any cottage in the woods. The bathroom and bathroom window are in need of updating, but it gets the job done. A lovely place with a bit of ruggedness, but all in all a great place to stay.

Great Father/Daughter get-a-way property.

This charming cottage was just right. We had trouble flying into Halifax Int'l (2 days) and the owner couldn't be more understanding. It was located near several hiking trails (we did) & close to Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. We got many pics here. I really enjoy watching the sunrise over my vacations & Prospect Bay did not disappoint. I took many pics of the sunrise too. The owner had several recommendations for the hiking trails & very good local (not to touristy) restaurants. We averaged 5mi/8km per day hiking. I would recommend "Gateway Prospect Cottage" for a return trip.

Not worth the stay

Because of the lack of swimming (jellyfish in the water) or water activities available, the layout of the dock & yard, and the small size of the cottage, we would not come back with our family or even with adults only to this cottage.

Beautiful view

We really enjoyed this cottage holiday. Our only difficulty was with the poor visibility of driveway at road and the pathway to the cottage. It was a combination of stairs and gravel and was treacherous for our aged father. Once in the cottage however, everything was lovely.

A great place to relax. Cute cottage with all the required features. A beautiful dock. Access to Halifax and Peggy's Cove in a short drive. The owner reached out to see if everything was ok and to check we had everything we needed.

Lakefront Vacation

Really enjoyed our stay. Great to have our tea/coffee on the dock each morning…so quiet and relaxing. Nice to come back to the cozy cottage after a day of sightseeing. Location was perfect…close to a number of attractions (Peggy’s Cove, Polly Cove, Halifax). Kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans and dishes. Janice was very helpful and always timely in her responses. Some things to note: challenging to locate parking pad, parking pad is small…it was a bit of a tight squeeze with our Ford SUV. Steps down to cottage quite slippery when wet. Thanks Janice for making our stay wonderful!

Beautiful location

The dock at the cottage is superb! Enjoy a cup of coffee watching boats pass by. The cottage is well equipped and we had no problems coming from out of province. If it is cold you will want to know how to light the stove. The 3 bedrooms are small but adequate. Living room has a big TV. A peaceful location outside of Halifax. I now have dock envy!
