Thanks for your review. We agree updating is in order! And thanks to a new board of directors, who are competent and truly care, these changes are finally in process. The Bahamas is still recovering from Hurricane Matthew, and our Coral Beach has new life being breathed into it from a host of committees & caring owners. Our beachfront has been planted with natural palms and colorful shade huts; Our beachfront Restaurant is under new management; important infrastructure changes such as new elevators, plumbing supplies, roof structures and decks are in process; So thanks for your understanding and bearing with us. perfect for us!

I arrived after a long day of missed flights to find a wonderfully out-fiited condo. It was cozy and my 2 children and I got along just fine in this cozy space. The grounds were safe, the beach was heaven, and the pool / bar/ cafe was delightful. Liz and Don have put a lot of though into making their condo easy to come in to. It was perfectly equipped for just about anything we wanted to do. There is also a lovely view from the balcony. Its a fun family setting and we would definitely would choose to come back again!

what a great vacation! Liz and Don's condo is exactly as shown.We were pleasantly suprised that the first day we were there both don and jackie collins called to make sure everthing was okay. The condo is well stocked and made us feel at home. This is the first time we have not done the all-inclusive thing. WE will be back. The beach is clean and everyone at coral beach made us feel welcome. I would deffinetly recommend. The intructions liz sent us left nothing unsaid.

This property, unfortunately, falls far short of its advertised description. Despite being listed as having an ocean view, there was almost none. The air conditioning unit was exceptionally loud, disrupting our stay, especially at night. The bathroom was in a state of disrepair, with visible rust and an unsanitary bathtub. Additionally, the sofa's mattress exhibited mold, creating a health hazard. The conditions of this unit were significantly worse than even a one-star motel. The owner seemed to justify the substandard state of the property by claiming that the price was low. Located within the Coral Beach Hotel, an outdated building with numerous individually owned units, this particular unit was among the worst. The online description and accompanying photos were highly misleading, presenting a completely inaccurate picture of the property.

Sadly, this guest seemed to spend much of his vacation complaining, claiming our Bahama home was misrepresented, a scam and overpriced: the curtains weren’t right for the room, the wall AC unit by the bed was too loud, there was not enough of an ocean view, he was disturbed by light early in the morning requiring him to wake up at 7 am. In an attempt to make things right, we immediately offered a refund for unused nights - It is off-season at Coral Beach and there are many other units to choose from. The guest however chose to complete their stay with us and demand a complete refund. Two days after their departure he still threatens us with a lawsuit and court in Miami. We have lovely guests that come back to stay with us year after year and complement housekeeping. We would not rent to this guest again.

Great Trip to the Bahamas

Studio apartment on the 3rd floor. Good communication by owner, even as there was an initial hiccup with VRBO, she stepped up to make sure we had everything we needed. Apartment was clean and ordered. Late checkout wasn't an issue. And the owner had a "book" for things to do and people to contact in the area for various activities. For example, it listed a taxi driver for getting around, and a dive shop for scheduling diving. In general, the Bahamas are still recovering from COVID, but there are definite signs of life, and the owners of the apartment are doing their part to make sure people feel welcome. No hesitation about going back to this apartment if we ever visit Freeport again.

Long Overdue Vacation

We had a great time a Liz and Don's condo. There was a problem with the AC and it was immediately handled and we were moved to another unit. The complex is quiet and well kept. The food/drinks at the pool bar were great. We walked to the Marina twice and it was about 15 minute walk. quite a few businesses are closed due to the hurricane but still a bit of shopping to do and worth the walk. We rented a car for a couple days of our stay just to check things out. C&V is close buy and they will pick you up. Sawyers Fresh Market is a better grocery store than Solomons Lucaya but further away. If you have a car check out the fresh fish market behind the International Bazaar (be wary of the barracuda). All in all a great stay!

Good value...perfect location

This condo is a great value and the location cannot be beat. 24/7 security, a wonderful pool and bar/grill and a pristine, beautiful beach. Don and Liz made the reservation process seamless and were available for any questions we had. The condo complex is very quiet... If you want to party and be loud this is not the place for you. The condo and buildings are outdated... Especially the bathroom which is the reason for this 4 star rating but we would definitely stay again for the price. We used taxis to get around and be prepared to pay at least $10 per one way trip. Queenie was our favorite taxi driver so use her if you can. All in all it was a quiet and relaxing week... Exactly what we were looking for! Thank you Don and Liz for sharing your condo with us!

Location location Location!

As advertised. Gorgeous location. The setting is great. Grounds are under construction but overall functional. Pool and restaurant /bar are big plus. Ocean and beach are highlights. Walking distance to the main area of Lucy and easily accessible by walking the beach. The condo itself could use an update other than that it's a groovy place to be.

Beachfront property in Paradise

The unit was spacious and well-stocked with everything to make my stay hassle-free. The beach was comprised of soft, white sand; great for swimming, beach-combing or just soaking up the sun. I traveled alone and felt very safe on and around the property. It exceeded every expectation! ! Friendly people, great condo in a location that provided me with some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Amazing View! Great place to Stay in Freeport Bahamas! Incredibly ocean and sunset views!!

What a wonderful stay in Freeport Bahamas! Not as much traffic as the fast paced Nassau which is pumped by tourist media! I live in LA so I would never want to vacation in a place other than Freeport! Just enough tourist attractions to keep you busy, safer than Nassau and friendly people! Food is great at local pier called port lucaya! Fresh fish that is clean and my favorite Cracked Conch and Lobster! If you find a guy named Allen on the beach he has fresh fish threw the week that he actually spears in front of the Corral Beach Hotel! Short walk down the beach to the left Jet Ski rental and other water sports! I did the Jet Ski tour to an island which was amazing! Also tour took me threw the cannals and to the Dolphin Experience! Dolphin Experience is amazing! We did that as well and got to pet and see real Dolphins! Super relaxation and fun at Corral Beach Hotel! Room was clean, neat and had everything we needed including international free calling, cable, Wi-Fi, cooking supplies, cell phones and many other necessities i.e. blow dryer :-) I recommend this room to anyone who wants to have a great vacation in the Bahamas!

Nice stay

Don an Liz's place at Coral Beach Hotel has everything you need for your stay on Grand Bahama Island. It's a cozy 5th floor condo with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. There is a well-placed mirror on the wall that provides an excellent view of the ocean, which you can also see from the patio. The weather was so nice that AC wasn't even necessary (it worked perfectly, I just didn't need it). Plus the owners were very responsive and accommodating with quick answers to my questions.

Love Coral Beach!

We had a great time at Coral Beach, The Condo that we rented from Don & Liz was perfect for what we wanted. It was nice to have a real bed to come to every night! A small issue came up and Don got it resolve really quick! Nothing but good things to say! Looking forward to next time!

AMAZING VIEW

Don and Liz was great. We was on the run from the minute we got there but Don and Liz keep calling until they got ahold of us to see if we needed anything. They're place was amazing. Clean, Beautiful, Close to the beach and a pool, and the cleaning lady was one of the nicest people I meet there. Don and Liz gave us a packet with fun things to do and a very amazing taxi driver (Queenie) I would go back just for her lol. On our ride from the air port Queenies son in law saw we had kids and that they loved the coconuts so he took us to Queenies house and let them pick one off the tree. This was the first time I have ever been out of the country and I have to say Don and Liz made it very pleasant. There was lots of sleeping area and large bathrooms, Water to drink, a whole packet down to a taxi drive for things to do. I was very please. Thank you so much Don and Liz.

Amazing Place to Stay!

The room was amazing with beautiful ocean views! It was nice to have purified water in a dispenser, some extra food supplies and really everything I needed to have a complete and awesome trip! I would deffinately recommend this room and return to rent it again! Thanks for the great stay!!!

Coral Beach

Hi. I stayed at this property for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. The accommodations were nice and clean. The building was very nice and the staff helpful and friendly. The large pool overlooks what is probably the best part of the quiet beach. It is a short walk to Port Lucaya. I would definitely stay here again. The owners were great and I had no problems in getting in touch with them via email. They responded quickly.

Great Week in Grand Bahama

We just returned from a relaxing week at Coral Beach. The condo was clean and comfortable for 2 adults. We ate all breakfasts and most lunches at the condo, making use of its full kitchen. The owners called the first day to be sure that all was well, which we especially appreciated because they were able to help us with the wireless connection. We only ran the air conditioner at night because of the nice breezes during the day. The pool was also well kept with a nice patio and bar area with good food, though be aware that it only takes cash payments. We love to snorkel, and were pleased that there was a nice reef within a short walk on the beach to the right. We did not rent a car, so either walked to the Port Lucaya Marketplace (about 20 minute walk - not bad if a breeze is blowing to keep bugs away) or took a taxi (about $8 with tip). There was a public bus stop at the corner near the condos, but we never saw a bus, probably because it was the low season (there is not a regular schedule for the buses). The staff were great - friendly and helpful, as was everyone we interacted with on the island. We would recommend this condo for a couple looking for peace and quiet!

Wonderful in every way!

Liz & Don's condo was wonderful. We found it to be extremely clean and it had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners obviously love the Bahamas and this condo and you can tell! It was charmingly decorated with authentic artwork from Bahamas artists and had a nice 'feel' to it. We cooked breakfast every morning and packed lunches for our beach excursions. There is an excellent restaurant at the Coral Beach that we went to for dinner,especially when we were too tired to go anywhere else! We have stayed in other units before in the same complex. This unit offers more services like free long distance calling and Liz & Don even provide a cell phone to use in the Bahamas. We feel like this condo is a very good value and also felt secure. Liz & Don were always available by email and phone and I found them to be very friendly and very kind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this clean, comfortable charming condo with excellent owners to anyone.

Lovely!

We wish to thank our hosts Liz and Don for their lovely hospitality during our holiday at Coral Beach Condos.The suite was very clean and well furnished and had everything that we could want or need. We spent most of our time just relaxing by the beautiful beach. The bar was quite enjoyable and had a very good selection of food and drinks. Liz and Don are very kind and lovely to speak with. We do recommend this apartment and will return very soon!

The description was VERY disappointing. We were promised a clean, updated condo with 1 bedroom/seperate living areas, direct access to beach and front ocean view. What we got was a tiny studio, circa 1960's dirty and original bathroom and kitchen. There was an old tv, limited houswarewares and no wine glasses to be found. huge disappointment and not worth the money.

Love this spot!

Excellent vacation spot. Very clean condo with everything needed to make the stay comfortable. Well appointed kitchen for cooking meals, comfy bed, plenty of room to hang clothes and lots of dresser space too. Great view from the balcony, the perfect spot to have a drink before dinner or coffee in the morning. Highly recommend this spot. Coral Beach is spectacular!

Hello! We are Liz & Don. Don has been coming to Coral Beach since his parents brought him there in the 1970's! We bought #1503 in 2006 and love the Coral Beach and Grand Bahama Island community.

This was the first property at Coral Beach that we bought as a couple. It will always be 'home' to us. We immediately made friends while living there that are now part of our family. It is much more than a rental property to us. We have chosen each piece of art and local craft for ourselves & our guests to enjoy and get the true flavor or our adopted home.

Our property offers a unique privacy and warmth due to it's location near the top of building #1. It receives late afternoon sunshine while many other units are shaded..which is a distinct advantage when returning from an afternoon at the beach.
Don has also worked alongside the local vocational college youth and assisted them in craft making. Some of their works are featured in our unit #1503. He is also a nature photographer and has sold his works to benefit the Humane Society Grand Bahama. We hope you will enjoy your time there as much as we have! We look forward to meeting you someday!
