Clear your calendar and get ready for an Off Duty retreat in Steinhatchee, Florida. You can unplug and relax with the whole family at this peaceful place. Please note we strive to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. While we understand that pets are part of the family, we have a firm "NO PETS" policy in place. Your home-away-from-home is in a quiet neighborhood. That means you can sleep in on those days that you aren't getting up early to head out. Grab your coffee and head out to the screen porch to get your day started peacefully. Breakfast can be enjoyed at home or a few minutes away with several restaurant options available. Enjoy your day in our little fishing community, fishing, scalloping, shopping, hiking, golf cart exploring, taking a drive to the beach or nothing at all. When the day is winding down come back "Home" for a quick shower and enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared in our fully stocked kitchen. Would you rather cook outside? Great, you can cook on a Blackstone Griddle (gas provided) or Charcoal Grill (please bring your favorite charcoal). Not in the mood to cook? No worries, you must try the best local seafood and cocktails around. Several of our favorite restaurants are only a few minutes away. Don't forget to watch for the most amazing sunsets! Insider tip, our favorite spot only 10 minutes away is Roy's Restaurant parking lot. Don't forget the bug spray!

• Neighbor Considerations: We want to be respectful of our neighbors and the surrounding community. While well-behaved pets are wonderful, unfamiliar environments can sometimes lead to increased barking or other disturbances.
• Insurance Requirements: Our insurance policy for this vacation rental specifically prohibits pets on the property. This is a non-negotiable requirement for maintaining our coverage and protecting the property.

After vacationing in Steinhatchee and falling in love with this "old Florida fishing town" we just had to take the leap and purchase a home for ourselves. We are thrilled to be able to share it as a vacation rental as well. Retired from the Sheriff's Department we wanted to offer a place to rest, relax, unplug and enjoy. To first responders that is called being Off Duty! Our home has the Off Duty theme to honor and respect the professions that have most recently been under attack. No one fights alone as long as we all stand together!

Our little neighborhood is quiet yet close to all the fun activities Steinhatchee has to offer. We have a wonderful mixture of permanent residences and rentals. Bring your golf cart or rent one while you are here to enjoy zipping around to grab a must have from Dollar Tree/Dollar General only a few blocks away, when you are hungry and don't feel like cooking you can head over to Kathi's Krab Shack (FYI - our favorite! only a few blocks away) or you can take a longer ride to Roy's Restaurant to watch the sunset.

Our hope is that Off Duty Rentals offers you, your family, friends or coworkers a place to gather and create some amazing memories. Come enjoy food, fun, laughter and sometimes even tears. Enjoy the amazing fishing and scalloping that this area has to offer. Bring your golf cart or rent one here. There are so many great places for you to eat, drink, shop or just sit and watch the most amazing sunsets! Our screened porch has been a guests' favorite for the adults while the children enjoy our "Medical" bedroom with all the toys, games and big TV. You won't have a problem with parking either, take a look at our driveway!
