Cozy country home on top of a Knoll in the beautiful Brier Creek area. The house overlooks a scenic view of a 2-acre front yard in a warm inviting atmosphere. Sit on the front porch with your morning coffee and enjoy beautiful sunsets in the evening. There is a hot tub available for your enjoyment, outdoor grill area and a large fire pit for evening marshmallow roasts. You might even see some of our local deer family.

Nolin Lake is nearby with 2 marinas that have boat and kayak rentals. Blue Holler Off-Road ATV Park is less than 10 minutes away with miles of muddy fun. Two horse parks are located about 5 to 10 minutes away with 60 to 70 miles of back country trails. Bring your clubs because Shady Hollow Golf Course is only 13 miles away and enjoy one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the state of Kentucky. In 30 minutes, you can be in the mist of the beautiful historical Mammoth Cave National Park. Locally owned restaurants are a few minutes away that could provide you with meals or bring your own food and use our fully equipped kitchen or grill up some grub on the outdoor grill.

The house has an open floor plan where the main attraction is family! Play some games in the great room in front of the fireplace or cozy up on the couch and watch a movie. There is something for all ages.

Home Away From om Home!

My family had an amazing time at this house! The check in instructions were simple and clear, and any time we needed to reach out to the host, our messages were answered in under 5 minutes. She took time to thoroughly address any concerns we had, even though she was on vacation herself. The house was spacious and spotless, and the snacks and coffee pods were a perfectly thoughtful touch. The hot tub was a lifesaver after taking a couple of tours at Mammoth Cave.The whole family had a wonderful time, and the next time we're in the area, we will definitely stay here again!!!

There was a county utility issue completely out of her control but she went out of her way to minimize the impact on our stay.

So enjoyed the peace and quiet but close enough for some other family outings. My 12 yo grandson told me Gran I love this vacation. All the others were in cities where it wasn’t peaceful like this. Smiling. He says don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the beach and Gatlinburg but this was different but with things still planned. We did Beech Bend, Kentucky Down under and Lost Cave boat ride (at the hosts recommendation) and another cave excursion. Evenings were spent enjoying the property—tag for the Grands in the huge yard and a slow rock on the porch or hot tub evenings. Thanks for another memorable family vacation. The Vest Family.

Disappointing Stay - Not Worth the Price

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this VRBO property. Right from the start, the house felt very dark and uninviting. Many of the light bulbs were either missing or burnt out, making it difficult to navigate the space comfortably, especially in the evenings. The overall ambiance was not what we were expecting at all, especially when the listing made it seem much more well-kept. It smelled horrible of wet dog.One of the most frustrating issues was that the house is advertised as accommodating 9 people, but it barely provided enough supplies for even 5. For example, there were not enough K-cups for coffee—just a handful for two days, which is completely unacceptable for a house that’s supposed to accommodate so many guests. Additionally, there was no shampoo or soap in the showers, which made it feel like the owners were cutting corners. This is a basic amenity that should have been provided, particularly for the price we paid.We also found that the house came with a limited supply of garbage bags, which was inconvenient given that we had to dispose of trash frequently. As for the dishwasher, it was in terrible condition—didn't clean well, and we ended up having to wash things by hand because the machine was so unreliable.Overall, the house is in desperate need of an upgrade and a thorough cleaning. The space wasn’t as advertised in terms of comfort or functionality. We’ve stayed in many homes through VRBO over the years, but this experience was by

Perfect quiet home for family get together

Loved this house, the hot tub, the clear instructions for the hot tub and checkout. The driveway is pretty steep but plenty of parking. Loved the front porch with country view and you can see the sunset. Everything was clean and spacious. Heat and air worked great! Quiet and private. Would stay again.

Family Christmas trip

Beautiful View

The house was what we needed for our long weekend away. The location is good for checking out Mammoth Cave, Nolin Lake, hiking or just relaxing with a good book on the front porch. The hot tub was nice after a long hike.

We are from Elizabethtown, but we have always loved the lake. We love boating, fishing, hiking and everything the lake has to offer. Our love for the lake and the area directed us in buying another home to share with our guests. We hope everyone enjoys the lake as much as we do.
