Welcome to the beach! Isla Tortuga is a first floor, fully renovated condominium, located across the street from Babe’s Beach. Unobstructed beach view with a private, spacious balcony! From this balcony, guests can watch the sunrise and take in the beauty of being at the beach. Isla Tortuga was created with guests in mind, to create a comfortable space where each and every person feels welcome.
Isla Tortuga is located on Seawall Blvd, directly across the street from Babe's Beach. This condo is approximately 1,000 sq. feet, with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, & the spare bedroom has a queen bed. Additional sleeping: a queen size air mattress & Pack 'n Play. The only place inside Isla Tortuga to set-up the queen air mattress is the living room.
Isla Tortuga has a spacious balcony with an unobstructed view of Babe’s Beach & ocean. The condo itself and balcony are completely private. The amenities at the complex are shared with other guests: pool, hot tub, gym, tennis court, BBQ grilling area.
INCLUDED in the rental, FREE for guests to use: beach chairs, beach umbrella, sunblock, various beach toys, & several beach towels.
POOL: Unfortunately, the pool's surface was stained due to an extended power outage after Galveston was hit by Hurricane Beryl.
Please understand, the pool is cleaned and maintained regularly; however, you will still be able to see stains on the bottom.
The pool is slated for a resurface but we do not have a confirmed date.
A wristband is required to use the pool/hot tub at the condo complex.
We leave one band in the condo. A guest doesn't have to wear it; however, please bring it with you while using the pool/hot tub.
At checkout, please leave it on the dining table. A missing band results in a $20 fee.
Isla Tortuga is located in an ideal location, on Seawall Blvd, which is close to many restaurants and attractions.
Please keep in mind, Seawall Blvd. is the busiest thoroughfare on Galveston Island; therefore, guests will hear vehicles pass by the complex. When crossing the street, please use caution and a crosswalk.
Parking is limited at the condominium complex.
No more than ONE vehicle per reservation (March thru September). No more than TWO vehicles per reservation (October thru February).
This parking is FREE; however, guests who require additional vehicles, there is a fee of $20 per day, per vehicle, to park at the complex.
There is another option available:
You can park off property on Seawall Blvd.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, Seawall parking rules change frequently. Please go to galvestontx. gov to make sure you can park overnight & the cost associated with parking. Parking on Seawall Blvd. is the responsibility of the guest to set-up & understand.
Parking is unassigned, first come first serve.
There is a parking lot located at the back of the complex, off Stewart Rd, & parking garage.
No large vehicles allowed. A large vehicle is one that cannot park comfortably into a regular sized parking space. No RV's, campers, UHAULs/moving vehicles, etc.
Isla Tortuga is located on the first floor. Please keep in mind, the first floor does not mean ground level. If guests park out front, there are only six steps to the front door/patio. If guests park in the back lot or garage, there will be one flight of stairs from the ground to first floor.
Elevators are located at the back of the complex. If there are elevator issues, Isla Tortuga will inform guests before arrival. If issues arise during a guest’s stay, Isla Tortuga will contact that guest in a timely manner.
Isla Tortuga has a central cooling and heating system with a smart thermostat (Nest). The Nest will not go below 68 degrees.
In total, there are four outside security cameras at Isla Tortuga. Two are located at the back door. The other two are located on the patio. For security and insurance purposes, all are on 24/7.
By placing and confirming a reservation with Isla Tortuga, guests understand, agree, and accept the following terms:
- List all guests on the reservation. No more than six guests allowed.
- Complex Quiet Hours: 10pm – 9am
- No Parties or Events:
Per city ordinance, no more than six people are allowed at Isla Tortuga. If there is evidence of more than six people on property, the extra guests will politely be asked to leave. If that does not resolve the issue, the reservation will be terminated. Upon termination, all guests will be asked to leave the premises. No refund will be given.
- No Pets Allowed:
Isla Tortuga does not allow pets on the premises.
If the cleaning specialist smells pet odor &/or sees evidence of a pet (urine, feces, fur, etc.), a $250 fine will be charged.
- No Smoking (of any kind) Allowed INSIDE Isla Tortuga:
Smoking inside is strictly prohibited.
If the cleaning specialist smells smoke &/or finds ash inside Isla Tortuga, a $250 fine will be charged to the guest.
Guests may smoke outside. Please use the ashtray provided (turtle ashtray located on one of the tables). Please keep the patio free of ash and cigarette butts.
- No Fire of Any Kind on the Balcony/Patio:
Per city ordinance, no grilling or use of fire on the patio/balcony. If guests would like to grill, there is a grilling/picnic area located at the back of the complex.
- Guests will be provided with purified water (individual water bottles located in the refrigerator door). Please use this water in the Keurig & Air Diffuser. There is a Young Living air diffuser located on the kitchen counter, along with a few bottles of Young Living essential oil. Guests may use these items, but please use purified water.
- Do not use bathroom towels at the pool/hot tub or beach. Isla Tortuga provides several beach towels for guests.
Pool & Hot Tub Hours: 10am - 10pm.
CHILDREN (minors) are NOT allowed at the hot tub or pool areas UNLESS there is ADULT supervision.
At NO time will there be a LIFEGUARD on duty.
In the event of bad weather &/or lightning the pool/hot tub will close.
There might be unforeseen times where the pool/hot tub are closed for maintenance. These items are out of the control of Isla Tortuga. No refund of any kind will be given for bad weather or pool/hot tub closures.
The hot tub/pool is a FAMILY FRIENDLY AREA. Please keep conduct ‘Rated G’.
No eating while in the pool/hot tub.
Do not use glass (cups, bottles, plates, anything glass) at the pool/hot tub area.
Do not climb on the gates.
If guests would like to use the pool/hot tub after the beach, please rinse off first. Sand is hard on the filter systems. There is an outside shower located next to the pool for this purpose.
Isla Tortuga, condo owners, & complex staff are NOT responsible for any injury that may occur.
