Dies ist ein klassischer Rückzugsort am Wasser in Wisconsin. Dieses neu renovierte Cottage verfügt über Holzböden (Bambus), eine neue Küche und eine Dusche mit Glasfliesen. Gemütlicher Rückzugsort für Familien- und Freundeskreise. Das Greatroom verfügt über einen Holzkamin, neue Sofas, einen großen Esstisch (Mahlzeiten, Spiele usw.) und einen vollständigen Blick auf die Bucht. Das geräumige Vorderdeck mit Blick auf die 200-Fuß-Küste umfasst Gartenmöbel und einen Gasgrill. Nur eine kurze Fahrt (25 Minuten) zum Lambeau Field für Packer-Training, Vorsaison und Spiele. Das Wasser am Dockende bietet einen hervorragenden Zugang zum Kajakfahren, Kanufahren und Angeln (kleines Boot). Große Rasenfläche bietet Platz für Volleyball und andere Outdoor-Aktivitäten. Oconto ist eine nahe gelegene Stadt mit vielen kleinen Restaurants und Tavernen.

Das Schlafzimmer besteht aus einem abgeschlossenen Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock und zwei Schlafzimmern im zweiten Stock (eines davon abgeschlossen, eines mit offener Reling und Blick auf den Greatroom darunter).

Die Privatsphäre ist großartig. Wasser auf einer Seite und Wald auf allen drei anderen Seiten. Wir haben auf der einen Seite unser bewaldetes leeres Grundstück und auf der anderen Seite das bewaldete Land des staatlichen Reservats (DNR).

Das Wasser ist klar und warm. Kanu, Kajak und Ruderboot können auf Anfrage gemietet werden.

A Wonderful Place to Relax and Reconnect with Nature

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is in a quiet location, nestled in the woods, with a view across the bay. If you want to just get away from it all, a stay at this property comes highly recommended.

Completely Shocked!!

The pictures do not do this cabin justice. My husband and I were blown away by how quaint, and clean this cabin was. Plenty of necessities to use and the location was absolutely stunning. We spent chilly nights in front of the wood burning fireplace and loved every minute of it. Thank you for everything and we look forward to booking this cabin again soon!! We will definitely be back

Great escape from the Texas heat

The property surpassed our expectations based upon the photos provided, without a doubt one of the best VRBO properties we have stayed at so far. Communication with the property owner was exceptional and any issues and/or questions were answered promptly. As a Wisconsin native (now retired military in Texas) it was good to visit the town of Oconto and the surrounding area. The towns people were very friendly and the staff at The Dockside (phenomenal food and drinks) offered many recommendations at my request. Overall a great place to stay and can see why there are many return customers to this home.

Beautiful, as always. Saw three new birds this year (oriole, humming birds, and an osprey) and the 5 a.m. kayak always has eagles, herons, kingfishers, and duck families in the reeds. We'll be back again next year!

Amazing Experience - Highly Recommend!

Daughter and I stayed for a week for our late summer vacation. Place had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked to cook full meals. Grilled outside. Relaxed on the back porch and around the fire. Super quiet and peaceful. Room to play around in the backyard. View of the bay very tough to beat. Donny is an amazing host. Been recommending to anyone looking for a getaway in the woods. Was my first time renting this place but won’t be my last! Thanks for everything!

Calming, peaceful atmosphere

This was a quiet and peaceful get - away. We came "home" each night to a great view of the lake, lots of bird songs, and quiet time on the deck. Judging by the number of small boats with people fishing most times of day, this rental would be perfect for families who love to fish, and fishing get-aways!

Awesome Spot

This is a really special spot. Right on the bay and a great jumping off point for fishing. It is centrally located on the western shore and very close to several boat ramps. Relaxing here after fishing all day was truly enjoyable. Communicating with the host was very easy and effective. When I came back to the bay, I will be staying here!

Great little getaway

Lovely, clean, cozy, quiet and well stocked with extras. Owner available if any questions. But really needs a new stove because this one is very hard to regulate the oven temp. and the oven is very small. Also could use some pots and pans. Especially if you like to cook or need too. Great bay vistas and morning sun.

Fishing tournament stay

Cleanliness was great! Amenities were great, there were a total of six adults with three boats and three trucks and we were able to back all rigs in and charge accordingly after a long day of fishing! Great view of the bay as well! The only negatives I can say if I had to were parking was VERY tight if you are bringing more than one boat. And not much anyone can do about it but the mosquitos and lake flys were awful outside! I would not hesitate to stay here again as it is super quiet and relaxing. Property owners were very prompt in answering any questions that arrose.

been into waterfowl my hole life i'm from the dakota's so watching these a athletes of the sky from inside the cabin or outside on the deck is amazing. We watched 15 to 20 pelicans swim in a circle the circle kept getting tighter and tighter they were feeding you could see the bait falling out of there pouch when they would bring their heads up 25 yards from the deck First time for me that's just a small part of the of the waterfowl thanks Donny

Fantastic & Perfect

The cottage was the ideal getaway for our young family's two-week vacation. The owner's generosity and hospitality was evident throughout their entire property; every arrangement we made with them was taken care of faithfully and with integrity. The waterfront was ideal for our young children - the sandy bottom takes care of the common "ewww - factor," and the shallow water makes looking after the kids a snap (perfect for learning to swim). If you're around for a longer stay, make sure you check-out Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay. Kids and parents of any age will have a blast on the classic carnival rides - and all for 25 cents a ticket. A big "Thanks" to the owners for providing all the necessary ingredients for enjoying a great vacation destination - your place is a gem!

Perfectly cozy weekend retreat

We had to travel to Oconto for a funeral & this cottage was the perfect place for us to have some quiet time, unlike staying in a motel or condo. The dock is awesome & the lake was frozen, can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer or fall. My daughters, all working on their master's, found the wi-fi to be very fast, & the large table was perfect for all of them to sit around with their laptops. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, etc, even dog food!!. The owner e-mailed a day or so after we arrived, to see if there was anything we needed. My sister-in-law is already thinking that this would be a great cabin for her daughter & granddaughters to have their annual quilting weekend! There's plenty of room on the huge table for them to set up their sewing machines! Thank you Don for providing a clean, comfortable place for us to stay! We loved your cabin!!!

Delightful cabin with a spectacular view

From the moment we drove in to the property, we loved it! The outside is delightful, but deceptive. Our family of 6 (including 4 older children ranging between 14 and 22) comfortably utilized the cabin for our week there. Of special note: - the attention to detail that Donny provides with this cabin. The cupboards and fridge are stocked with spices, cooking oils, ice trays (with ice!), foil, plastic wrap - to name but a few of the usually absent supplies - along with a wide assortment of cooking utensils and pots/ containers. The shower has shampoo and conditioner dispensers! Extra pillows and comforters for those cool(er) evenings. And that is not even mentioning the vast selection of DVD's, reading material, and binoculars to get a closer look at the birds and other wildlife he has in his bookcase. So many nice surprises. - the kitchen/ dining table is worth the visit all by itself. A work of art with lots of room for ongoing jigsaw puzzles as well as a full meal. - plenty of firewood for the outdoor and indoor fire areas. - excellent privacy on all sides. A long driveway brings you in, and there are woods on all 3 sides with the lake to the east. While there are houses to the south of the cabin, we could occasionally hear the happy shouts from their children swimming but never saw them. - we made friends with 2 spectacular owls as we traversed the road into the cabin. A definite highlight. Thank you for a most enjoyable week. We very much appreciated it!

Awesome cabin, poor fishing

First, the cabin location is great. Very secluded & you really have privacy. The cabin itself is so cute. Check in is very easy! The cabin has tons of beds for your family. The kitchen is fully stocked. I loved the little features like lip balm in the bathroom, Oconto stickers to take that were left on the dining room table and the shampoo/conditioner available to use. The beds were comfy but the pillows were hard as rocks. Maybe just bring your own unless you want a stiff neck in the morning. The back door which is the primary door to get out back to the water/deck has a poor setup as only one side opens and it swings open all the way on its own and hits a little side table which made us nervous damage would be done so you really have to be mindful of the door. This cabin offers a paddle boat, stand up paddle board and kayak. There was another small boat there but we couldnt use it due to a birds nest and babies in there which is no fault of the owner. I will say if you want to come here for fishing, i DO NOT recommend it. What is not mentioned is that the water is about 2 to 3 feet at the pier and remains standing height quite a ways out. Even if you take the row boat out youll never be able to get out far enough while staying safe that youll be at a point to see fish. No fish in sight. So youll have to rent a charter boat if you want to fish at all. No boats can dock here due to shallow water. Id stay here again if i didnt want to fish but that was the point of our trip

Beautiful Property

Amazing property on the water- the pictures of the listing don’t do justice! I’ve stayed at many rentals and this is by far one of my favorites I have been to and I want to go back! There were some really bad storms so we ended up losing power for over a day but that didn’t even matter! Everything was well stocked, clean and just such beautiful views! We stayed three nights and did not want to leave.

This cottage has a lot of family history. My mom and dad picked out this property for its beautiful, sandy waterfront, secluded woods, and easy drive from Milwaukee (2 1/2 hours with a stop). Having a nearby small town (Oconto) and larger city (Green Bay) offered a variety of activities, attractions, and shopping.

Morning coffee on the lakefront deck in the morning is our favorite time (sometimes sunrise). A huge variety of birds (Herons, Pellicans, Cranes, Eagles) frequently fly close by. Evenings often end with a fireside (campfire pit) chat, and star gazing.
