This luxury 3 bedroom apartment is located on the contemporary brand new modern complex of Casa Banderas, set on the hill overlooking the popular coastal village of La Cala de Mijas. The huge sun terrace offers panoramic views over the surrounding area, up to Mijas village on the surrounding mountains, and down to the Mediterranean Sea.
Features include communal swimming pools, children's park, Paddle tennis, SPA, gymnasium, social club with BBQ's and secure above ground parking in the garage.
The space
This air-conditioned luxury-chic hideaway with sun drenched terrace is located in the brand new complex of Casa Banderas, La Cala de Mijas.
The modern self-catering holiday apartment consists of 3 bedrooms, all double sized, 2 bathrooms with the master en-suite, open-plan modern kitchen, a lovely spacious living room and an ample 100m2+ spacious sun-drenched terrace affording breath-taking panoramic views of the entire area, pool, gardens, mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
The main terrace is fully furnished to a high standard, and there is some shade offered by a covered area & electric awnings on the pergola. The secondary small terrace to the rear offers shade during the day and late evening direct sunshine until sunset. There is a also a gas BBQ available for guests usage, which they can have access to whilst on holiday, for a small surcharge of 50€ cash on arrival to cover gas & additional cleaning. Please request this if you want to make use of it.
The accommodation is well equipped with a brand new integrated kitchen with a Nespresso coffee capsule machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, oven, microwave and washing machine. The property benefits from a large private shaded parking space.
Guests can relax in the wonderful secure & manicured private community gardens, inside the chill-out social area and around the 3 beautiful pool areas at the property. Sports enthusiasts can exercise in the well appointed gym. After training, guests can also have access to the SPA area, featuring a large sauna and jacuzzi. Also access to BBQ's, Padel Tennis court, children's park and an outdoor exercise gym area.
The famous coastal village of La Cala de Mijas is just a few minutes drive away, which can be walked in around 15 minutes from the property. Guests will also find several golf courses within 5 minutes drive, all with attractive modern clubhouse restaurants, open daily for everyone, and offering delicious food and a great choice of refreshments.
Diverse activities are possible including surfing, jetskiing, climbing, having fun at the Water Park and much more.
Guest access
Guests will have access of the entire apartment, selection of 3 swimming pools, plus complimentary access to the SPA & gym area (consisting of a sauna & jacuzzi, plus fully equipped gymnasium and showers), and also the pool chill-out social club area. Access also to the Padel Tennis court, children's park and outdoor exercise gym area. There is a gas BBQ available to guests for a small surcharge - see notes.
La Cala de Mijas village is easily accessible, offering a diverse selection of restaurants, bars, banks, supermarkets, car rental, beach chiringuitos, beach wooden boardwalk to Cabopino, golf course etc. La Cala offers everything you need to enjoy your holiday to the maximum, and offers easy transport links to Málaga, Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmádena Pueblo, Marbella, Estepona & Gibraltar.
La Cala de Mijas is situated in the centre of the golf valley, with many golf courses accessible within a 10 minutes drive.
Other things to note
Please note that this apartment is in a fantastic privileged location, although it is perched just on top of a hill, about a 10-12 minutes walk in order to reach the local amenities at Jardin Botanico, and perhaps 15-20 minutes from La Cala village as you have to cross the road. Of course it only takes less than 3 minutes by rental car, or taxi, to La Cala de Mijas.
Please note that we allow late arrivals after 8pm during the week, and also weekend arrivals for a small surcharge. We charge a standard meet and greet fee of 25.00€ at the handing of the keys for all arrivals between 8pm & 11pm and during the weekend. Arrivals between 8pm & 11pm during the weekend will be charged 40.00€, paid locally on arrival. For night arrivals between 11pm & 3am, please consult us first.
There is a gas BBQ available for guests usage, which they can have access to whilst on holiday, for a small surcharge of 50€ cash on arrival, to cover gas & additional cleaning. Please request this before your holiday if you want to make use of it, so that we can prepare it before your arrival.
The centre of Málaga is 45 km from the apartment. The nearest airport is Málaga International Airport, 38 km from the property.
Strictly NO smoking and NO pets allowed. Beware of starting a careless fire! Prevention is better than cure.
The owner recommends that you take out adequate travel insurance before travelling. In case of any accident occurring whilst at this holiday home, it is the responsibility of the holiday guest, not the owner or managing agent.
This property is disabled friendly, but not specially adapted for disabled or wheelchair users. There is a communal lift in the apartment building along with ramps in the communal areas providing wheelchair access. The pools and gardens are also adapted for disabled and wheelchair access, as all pools feature an electric chair lift, and the shared lift goes directly from the apartment level to access the gardens and pool. This apartment is accessed from the first floor level, by means of a lift. Please note that wheelchairs can’t access the bathrooms. Please enquire with us for more information about accessibility within this new urbanisation.
Once your booking has been confirmed / payment received (or at least in good time before your arrival) we will contact you to make arrangements to meet you at the main security concierge gate entrance, or in the local town, La Cala de Mijas. You will be shown around the apartment with everything explained clearly by our local property managers (who speaks fluent English and Spanish!) and your questions about the local area / facilities can be answered. We want you to enjoy your holiday!
The property managers will be on hand to answer any questions or in case of any emergency or enquiry. Unlimited FREE Fibre Optic WiFi and multi-language TV is included in the rental price.
A rental car is strongly recommended for this property as it is located approx 1km up the hill, above La Cala. Taxis are easily available from the Taxi Rank in either Jardin Botanico or the local village, La Cala de Mijas, and it's not too far to walk.
