Summary:
A small, clean studio-style 1 bedroom in downtown Amarillo, set up for a simple, easy stay. Queen bed plus extra sleeping space, fully equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, and a laptop-friendly workspace. Self check-in. Free driveway parking. Walking distance to Hodgetown ballpark, the Civic Center, and downtown restaurants. A good fit for solo travelers, couples, visiting family, and traveling workers who want to be close to downtown without paying a downtown hotel price.
The Space:
The unit is a small, well-laid-out 1 bedroom on the A side of a duplex, so you have a private entrance and the space is fully yours. The bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed setup, and there is extra sleeping space in the common area for a third or fourth guest, so a small family or a pair of coworkers can fit without anyone losing out.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your own meals: refrigerator with freezer, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, cookware, dishes, silverware, and wine glasses. Cooking at home cuts the trip cost, especially on a longer stay.
The living area has a TV, a dining table, and a laptop-friendly workspace if you need to take a call or work a few hours. Air conditioning, heating, and a ceiling fan keep the space comfortable across seasons.
The bathroom is private and stocked with towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, so you are not running to a store on day one.
There is a small safe for valuables, a fire extinguisher, and a private patio off the home if you want a quiet moment outside. The unit also has a city view, since you are right in the downtown footprint.
A large driveway in front of the home provides free parking; free street parking is also available.
Guest Access:
Self check-in. You will receive check-in instructions before arrival so you can land on your own schedule. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. There is a large driveway in front of the home for free parking, plus free street parking. The private entrance means you do not need to coordinate with anyone on arrival.
The Neighborhood:
The unit is in downtown Amarillo on Southeast 14th Avenue, a short walk from Hodgetown ballpark, the Civic Center, and the bars and restaurants along Polk Street and Sixth Avenue. The SoPo arts district along Polk Street is close, with Palace Coffee and Tyler's Barbecue both within reach. The Big Texan Steak Ranch and the Route 66 historic district are an easy drive when you want a classic Amarillo evening. The Amarillo Botanical Gardens, Wonderland Park, and Palo Duro Canyon State Park are all within range for a day trip. The location is good for guests who want to be close to events at Hodgetown or the Civic Center.
Getting Around:
Amarillo is a driving city, even when you are downtown. A personal vehicle or rental car is the easiest way to get around. The unit is a short drive to I-40 east and west and to I-27 south. Amarillo International Airport (AMA) is a short drive across town. Uber and Lyft both operate locally if you prefer not to drive at night.
Other Things to Note:
Smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in place. Fire extinguisher is on site. No smoking inside the unit. No parties. No pets without prior approval. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM out of respect for neighbors. Long term stays are welcome, so message us with your dates if you are looking at a longer block.
Interaction with Guests:
We respect your privacy. We do not drop in. We are a quick message away through the booking app, or by text if that is faster. We respond within an hour during the day and as quickly as we can otherwise. If something needs attention during your stay, tell us and we will handle it.
