The Space:
Named after Jules Verne - the literary giant who gave us the wonderful sea story Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. A two level cottage, renovated with all new furnishings, The Verne is perfect for two couples as it allows for plenty of space to be together and space to be apart. Your attention will be fully engaged by the view west over the water and passing sailboats from the large cathedral ceiling living room and breezy glass/screened solarium. Or soak up the sun on your private dock and terrace.
The Solarium has dining for 6 and a separate lounge area. The open kitchen with large island is fully equipped for the aspiring chef. A propane BBQ outside keeps the heat out of the kitchen. There is one 3 piece washroom and two bedrooms - one bedroom on each level, each complete with new luxury queen size beds and linens. The ground floor bedroom has a separate sitting area. Towels, bedding and blankets are provided. There are new smart TVs with Satellite, Apple TV, HDMI cables and free WIFI, books and puzzles. There is air conditioning including a ductless wall unit in the main living space and a window unit for the main level bedroom. The lower bedroom keeps very cool naturally.
Sit on your own private terrace and dock to enjoy the sunset show every evening. This cottage has two parking spaces available so you can leave your cars behind and ride your bikes 10 minutes into town. Complete with a television, free WIFI and a beach pass, all you need are your personal items, beach towels and a plan to be yourself.
Dogs Allowed: Up to 2 dogs per stay. Please Ask and let us know Breed. Dogs must be on a leash while outside.

In high season (Canada Day to Labour Day) different check-in/out times are strictly non-negotiable. Early Access to drop off belongings or to get the beach pass cannot be granted, no exceptions. A fee of $200 will apply for those who arrive early or depart late. In other seasons, reach out to your Host No Sooner than 2 business days in advance of your stay to see if early in/late out might be possible. Guests may use the park pass only for the duration of their stay, not prior to check-in or after check-out.

Dogs Allowed: Up to 2 dogs per stay. Please Ask and let us know Breed. Must be on leash outside at all times
Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests plus 2 children (age 9 and under)
Weelkong Summer Stays: a week is considered 6 nights, Sunday to Saturday. The owner leaves 24 hours in between guests.
Special Notes:
This is a residential area so respect for neighbours is important for you to enjoy your stay. There are noise bylaws in the area that guests should respect or fines could apply. No outside activity after 11pm please. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
This is a lakeside property so all children must be accompanied by an adult while they are outside and it would be advisable that children wear flotation accessories in case of misadventure. Due to the water level changes of lake Ontario this year, swimming from the dock is up to each individual's discretion.
Boats can be launched at Picton Harbour. You can tie up to the dock. 12 or 15 foot boot. Please confirm with Sandbanks Vacations prior to bringing your boat.
Each house has keypad access. You will be provided with access info 1 week prior to arrival, after full payment has been made.
