Glad to have VRBO option in this neighborhood

For us, the best thing about this property is that it's located in the neighborhood where my family lives. We were able to visit them for the holidays without having to stay under their roof for the entire week. Very convenient for everyone. The property is well maintained, nicely decorated and clean. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious. Only downsides: No TV in the living room for family downtime. No dishwasher (who wants to hand-wash everything on vacation?). No paper towels, kitchen towels or toaster either. And (my pet peeve with almost every VRBO property I've rented), No. 1: insufficient side table/reading lamps for the books I always bring on vacation, and No. 2: not a single tissue box in the entire house. The weather was perfect though. :)

Easy to move in, hard to leave.

The house is beautiful and really easy to use. The yard is totally fenced in (the gate in front did not work for us but there is a manual way to open it.) Beds were super comfy, curtains kept the light out which made sleeping in so easy. Its a really easy house to b in (i was on once side, my daughter ln the other.) Its is absolutely gorgeous. Owner was very easy to work with. It is close to everything. It close to Ruby Falls, Rock City, Point Park and The Bowl (downtown Chattanooga). We really got lucky with weather. The yard and deck was very luxurious to use. Furniture was comfy. We left about 4:45 this morning. My daughter and I were sad to leave! Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Updated, clean and convenient

We enjoyed staying in Chattanooga for our kid's fall break. Pros: This place was clean, updated, and we loved the backyard because the fence was high so our girls could go outside and play and we didn't have to worry. We took walks every day and it was very pleasant, so many folks walking their dogs and kids. The drive was around 15-20 mins to downtown which wasn't too bad. Cons: There is only 1 TV in the whole house and it's in the master bedroom. It's a big TV which made for good family movie nights, but would have been nice to have at least one more. No dishwasher, the appliances were top of the line, but we had to handwash all of our dishes which is not ideal on vacation. Overall: We enjoyed our stay and the weather was wonderful.

Property was truly disgusting when my family and I visited, we had to clean the place ourselves upon checking in, after a 9 hour drive to get there. Caked dust on artificial plants, dog hair in the sheets on the beds, pee stains on toilet seats, burned coffee in the pot, dirty dishes, full trash cans outside, overgrown and unkept backyard. “No smoking” property but old joints left on back deck area.The only upsides were the location being close to a lot, and a decently quiet neighborhood. I did contact the property manager with the issues upon arriving, and he offered to have someone out to clean it that day, however it should have been cleaned before we even arrived as it was booked weeks in advance. “Cleaning fee” wasn’t refunded either, no offer of cutting any prices and barely an apology. Will NEVER rent this property again, such a waste of a good space with potential to be more.

Hi Joy, I have changed cleaning & landscaping companies since your visit. I walked through the property myself(owner) & everything is in tip top shape. I apologize again for the trouble & I understand why you did not want the recleaning service I offered to address everything on your check in. We have also added the highest requirements for guests as to not break house rules. Since November 2024(your stay) we have received 5 star reviews(ABNB & VRBO) with guests who love the cleanliness & landscaping we have done. I appreciate your review & if you ever want to try out our property again I would offer a free stay up to 1 week.

We arrived to the house and it was 56 degrees inside. The heat was not fixed for the duration of our stay. We had to rely on 3 space heaters and the stove to maintain a comfortable temperature. Having two little kids, this was not only inconvenient but stress inducing. There was so much technology linked to the locks and the heat and the Carbon monoxide detectors and such that it’s hard to believe that the host would not have had the ability to see on an app that the house was 56 degrees before our arrival. The fence that surrounds the house is nice for privacy but having to manually open and shut it every time you come and go is really annoying. Also on the 2nd day someone came by and washed and placed a lock on said gate without giving us the code. Eventually we got ahold of the host for the code but again, inconvenient. All of the extravagant amenities look nice in the photos but are not as great in person. The rainfall shower had hardly any water pressure and at least 1/3 exercises pieces were not usable (the bike had pieces missing that would not allow for proper adjustment to use). The singular TV in the home was located in the main bedroom and was so large it barely fit on the wall. This may be nice for some but truly just felt like too much and also didn’t give an opportunity for more than one person to watch something. It was inconvenient to not have the television in a central location.
