Beautiful Home But Improvements Needed
The property location, in a gated community, was lovely. The home itself was very nice and the bedrooms were large. There were plenty of pots and pans but no baking sheets. There were also plenty of plates, cups, glasses, and silverware. We had several issues while there especially regarding very slow management response to our concerns. The pool deck furniture was caked with mold and mildew- this was not new mold, and one could tell the outdoor furniture had not been cleaned either ever or in many months. The pool itself was also dirty and we had no way to clean it. Management indicated that outdoor furniture is not included in the guarentee. No one came to clean the pool until the day before our departure which was very disappointing. Why would someone rent a home with a pool that is dirty and outdoor furniture that was too dirty to use. Also, we had a major issue with flying ants in several bedrooms. It took 3 days for an exterminator to arrive and even then, he did not check the entire home. His service was poor. We also had one large roach and the management company tried to say that this is typical for Florida. My husband is from Florida and we travel to Florida many times each year- I had never had a roach in a home until this trip. One toilet did not work and one shower did not work. The management company sent a maintenance person to fix the bathrooms instead of a plumber- big mistake. The shower was never properly fixed. Housekeeping was not excellent as we expected- there was an empty medication box left on top of a dresser in the bathroom. If the bathroom had been properly cleaned, they would have thrown out the empty box and cleaned the top of the dresser. This tells me that other furniture was likely not cleaned as well. I spent many hours on the phone with the management company and had to send many emails which was time consumming and cut into my vacation time. Overall, the furniture and decor inside of the home was lovely and comfortable. However, the family room love seat was terribly wornout. The home offered plenty of towels which we appreciated. In all, the location was great, home was lovely, although not thoroughly cleaned, bugs were a major issue, pool was not cleaned properly, and management was absolutely awful in getting resolutions within a timely manner. If I owned the home, I would be very embarrased by this management company.
