Since the house is so high, you can observe the wildlife closer to the treetops as you ride to the top in a glass elevator. Villa Enlightened is a luxurious oasis above the canopy that has been thoughtfully planned to host big groups, multiple families or those who just want privacy while still being close to everything in Playa Guiones.

Nestled in Nosara, in Costa Rica’s Blue Zone on the Guanacaste Peninsula, this charming community where the jungle meets the sea is known for it’s sunsets, it’s surf, it’s restaurants from gourmet to grass roots, it’s world class yoga opportunities, and it’s passion for sustainable and healthy lifestyle choices. It is a place where you instantly feel at home, and at peace.

Completed in February of 2023, this project was designed by the owner, Jennifer Hansen and Award Winning Architect Donald Loria of Prendas Loria, and built by Garza Construction. The result is spectacular! You will truly be enlightened by your stay and take life-changing memories with you.

Villa Enlightened is located just across the main road from Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort and up the private drive. You can easily walk to Bodhi Tree gym and property for yoga, pilates, breathwork and other classes. We are also just a short walk to Organico Market that has everything you need and Café de Paris that has a delightful bakery. There is a magical walking path that brings you to Café de Paris or down into town close to the beach. The beach walk is 15 minutes but we recommend renting quads to get around easily to all beaches with your surfboards.

Villa Enlightened’s tropical modern vibe is designed to bring the outside in. The massive glass walls allow you to absorb the jungle and ocean view on all sides. Every room has a fabulous view. The house has beautiful concrete floors and local teak ceilings. The décor is minimalist because the focus is on the beauty that surrounds. With solar panels capturing the sun’s energy, a bionest for water treatment and repurposing (for landscape irrigation), as well as composting and recycling opportunities, and the exclusive use of biodegradable cleaning products, you can wallow in luxury with the comfort that you are making the smallest possible footprint on this treasured jungle community. Provided in each bathroom are the full line of Raw Botanicals products including Ylang Ylang Shampoo, Banana Hair Conditioner, Papaya Tangerine Body Wash, Citrus Face & Hand Soap, Mango Dream Cream and Lemongrass Insect Deterrent.

Our entire estate is alarmed and monitored with security cameras for your enhanced peace of mind, and high speed internet is available throughout. All gates, entry doors, and sleeping quarters offer keyless entry for both ease and security.There is a live in care taker on the property who overseas the daily maintenance of the property and serves as security of the property and its guests. Villa Enlightened also include daily house keeping which is included in the price.

On the main floor, you enter from the incredible floating staircase and glass elevator into the open concept kitchen and living room with TV and central air conditioning. This is a chef’s kitchen with all GE Monogram appliances, kitchen aid mixer, Cuisinart, and all the things you need to prepare a gourmet meal. Or ask us about hiring a local chef to come do the work for you. There is also a whole house water filtration system with UV light filter. All of the water is drinkable in the whole house.

The ocean and jungle views are jaw dropping. This space has a Fleetwood sliding wall system that opens up to an inviting infinity pool with jacuzzi and waterfall feature. There are hanging chairs and hanging beds, 1 small table with 4 chairs and a very large Guanacaste table with bench seating for 12. There is a full outdoor kitchen with BBQ grill and concrete sink and prep area. If you meander out to the casita roof there is a tranquil succulent garden with a large outdoor bean bag sofa and fire pit. Under the pergola is the hammock hangout complete with 4 hammocks and 2 hanging chairs. The outdoor space is grand unlike many other luxury rentals in Nosara. You have space and the house handles large groups very well with a lot of room to spread out. There is also one bedroom on the main floor and bathroom just outside the bedroom. Both open up to the terrace.

The 3rd floor is the location of the bedrooms. At one end is a very luxurious master suite with large bedroom, desk, Fleetwood sliding walls on both sides, motorized shades, central air conditioning, double onyx sinks in the vanity, inside and outside showers and a concrete tub on the balcony. There is nothing like waking up to this view!!!

At the other end of the hall is a mini-master suite with both inside and outside showers. A full wall of widows with a jungle view and sliding doors that open up to a balcony and herb garden with ocean views. There are 2 interior bedrooms as well both with their own bathrooms. One has an inside shower and the other has an outside shower. All of these beds can be made as 1 King or 2 Twin XL. All rooms have independent air conditioning.

Take the glass elevator up through the jungle to the 4th floor to an open air yoga deck that is fully covered with ceiling fans and teak floor. There are Manduka Yoga Mats, Cork Blocks, Bolsters and Straps for 16 people. Also available with approved teacher are Arial Yoga Hammocks so you can have a private class come to you for up to 14 people. This yoga deck has the most fabulous view in Nosara!



With a maximum occupancy of 11, our home can accommodate extended family, multi family, chosen family, retreats and special occasions with ease.
