Complex information:

The Kulalani community in the Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island is set amongst the Mauna Lani North Golf Course. This gated community is shielded by the impressive Kohala Mountain range, which leaves the area with some of the most consistently sunny weather and the least precipitation on the island. Kulalani 2201 is an end unit of a fourplex building surrounded by a large grassy yard and tropical gardens. Kulalani is a quiet gated community, near the center of the resort area and is walking distance to the petroglyph fields near Puako beach. Other amenities within the resort can be easily accessed by car.

Guests staying in Kulalani get access to the community's recreation complex, which is the largest complex in the Mauna Lani Resort. The complex is shared with the neighboring KaMilo community, and combining their resources allowed them to build this into one of the best recreation complexes with the most amenities in the Mauna Lani resort. There is a large freeform ohana (family) pool surrounded by plenty of seating and lovely gardens. There is a shallow children's wading pool attached to this pool for families with young children. Additionally, there is a quiet lap pool for adult use only. Overlooking the lap pool and the surrounding tropical gardens is the fitness building. This building has a combination of machines, free weights, bikes, treadmills, and more. All the equipment was recently updated.

There are two hot tub spas, one near the ohana pool and one behind the fitness center. In the center of the complex is a large covered pavilion which has lots of seating and offers plentiful shade. Kulalani is the perfect community and unforgettable vacation stay and we look forward to hosting you in our beautiful home here.

Great property, horrible rental company
The property is beautiful, well maintained, and the kitchen is well stocked. It is the cleanest vacation property in Hawaii we have ever stayed in. The neighborhood (besides the abandoned houses at the end of the block where construction was never completed) is beautiful and well taken care of. The landline rang at 330am one morning...but that was the worst thing that happened on the property. The super annoying part is the rental company that runs the place. You'll have to give them more personal information than any other property you've ever rented from with no security that they wont turn around and sell it all. They will spam the crap out of your email with marketing. They will force you to pay 3 digits for peace of mind "insurance" that is clearly just a way for them to squeeze more money from you without any benefit to the customer.

Fantastic Property!
We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The house was immaculately clean, very well equipped, and extremely comfortable. We loved that there was a “quiet zone” lap pool and very nice fitness facility. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The one small problem we had, was attended to immediately. We would absolutely rent this property again.

Gorgeous place, gorgeous hawaii
Really beautiful, newer unit in kulalani development in Mauna lani. Kitchen has nearly everything; nicely decorated, high speed internet works well. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning (quiet). Really one of the best vrbos I’ve rented in quite a while. Private beach is a short drive / long walk, but very nice.

Beautiful Home
This unit is beautifully and tastefully decorated. It clearly has been well maintained and thoughtfully furnished, including everything for use in the kitchen. The property manager was responsive and easily available. Highly recommend.

Great location but uncomfortable
We have stayed in this condo complex multiple times before; the location is fantastic, pool and gym are great. However, the beds were terribly uncomfortable and hard as a rock. The house provided one small thin beach towel per person (bring your own!) and the beds had no blankets on them, I found them weirdly shrink wrapped in the closet. There were no extra pillows. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glasses, plates,etc but the pantry had no items except salt, pepper and leftover oil and vinegar, so don’t expect ANY condiments,coffee,etc
