Join Us... Huron Bay Lakefront Living at it's Finest! If you are looking for a comfortable, clean cottage with breathtaking views, swimming, sunbathing, fishing, paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking, Sunset Beach Cottage is ready for you. If you bring a boat there is a free boat launch one mile from property. Fishing is great on Huron Bay. Lakefront vacation cottage with a private beach steps from your door. Large yard and parking directly behind cottage. You will have privacy to relax in the sun and sand. Plan your getaway for the rest and relaxation you deserve. The views of Huron Bay are fantastic and the sunsets and clear night skies are amazing! If you stay up late you very likely will see the Northern Lights. There is plenty to see and do but you just might want to unplug and enjoy everything this property has to offer!

Cooking and Dining: The fully equipped kitchen has everything the family chef needs in easy reach. You will never find a table with a better view than the one right in your large, light filled dining room.

Living Area:

Enjoy curling up on the window seat with a good book, stretching out on the couch, playing games or just enjoying each others company. On chilly evenings enjoy warmth and flickering flames from the wood stove (propane) located in the center of the space. A smart TV is also located in the the living area.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:

The first guest bedroom has a queen size bed, large closet, dressers, smart TV and a half bath with stackable washer and dryer. Sunset views from this room are spectacular. The second guest bedroom has a full size bed, closet, dresser and TV with DVD player. The hall bath has a walk in shower with built in seat. Towels, shampoos, conditioners, laundry soap, fabric softener and dryer sheets are available for guest use. The window seat and couch in living room are suitable for children to sleep.

Outdoor Spaces:

You'll want to spend much of your time outdoors on the large lawn, beach or gathering around the fire pit. We also have a gazebo with table and chairs for relaxing in the shade and a picnic table if you choose to eat outside..

Exceeded our expectations. The cabin is clean and charming and the view is incredible. Great location for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula. It was so peaceful and beautiful, exactly the kind of getaway we were looking for.

This was our second stay here, and just as impressive as the first! The house is beautiful with nearly every window giving you a view of the Huron Bay and all the comforts you would expect (and more). The grounds are spacious and well maintained, and also offer you many perspectives of the bay to enjoy sunsets and stars!! The hosts are friendly, attentive and offered great communication. I don't think we have stayed in a more completely fantastic VRBO ever and we are already looking forward to next year's stay. So book a stay, you won't be disappointed!

Cozy, clean and welcoming. A private beach is just steps from the back door at this amazing lake home. Be sure to have your camera close by for amazing and picturesque snapshots! Loons, Eagles, Merganser ducks, geese, Nuthatches, Flickers, foggy mornings, colorful sunsets and the ever changing water of the lake make for a nature lover’s paradise. Bring your groceries for meals and stay in, you won’t want to leave. We’ll be back!

Huron Bay Paradise

This was very nice cottage with spectacular views of Huron Bay. A perfect location, close to everything the area has to offer. Waterfalls, hiking, and Mouth of the Huron River. The cottage was very relaxing with everything we needed for a wonderful vacation!

Such a lovely place on Huron Bay! We so appreciated having everything we needed for our stay at hand. Perfectly outfitted kitchen, plenty of towels, and basic toiletries. The house is comfortable and offers a lovely view and access to the bay. Owner was close by and interested in our comfort. Loved the patio, but bummed we didn’t get to use the kayaks. Maybe next time:)

Great time on Lake Superior

The cottage is right on the bank of Huron Bay. Great sunsets and just a great place to spend time relaxing and enjoying nature. We had 5 eagles, at the same time, right in front of the cottage. Truly a top vacation getaway

Peaceful, Relaxing, Beautiful!

Saw eagles, geese, heard loons, enjoyed lakeview and sunsets. Could look at the stars and lake from the bedroom window. Spacious accommodations with plentiful windows overlooking the lake. Host and owners are fantastic!

Amazing piece of paradise

Everything was amazing very easy to find the cottage had everything this was my first time using the app and couldn’t be happier with the whole process hard to believe a place like this would even be available the private beach the beautiful landscaping this place had everything the area had a lot to explore it was great this is the place you want to stay trust me the hosts are very friendly and accommodating can’t thank them enough

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

Very clean and cozy, located perfectly in the area we wanted to our week long Waterfall tour. Host and owners very extremely kind and helpful in every way. The house had everything we needed along with the most amazing view for Northern Lights, Rainbows and a few bald eagles. Highly recommend this location, we for sure will stay again every chance we get.

Beautiful vacation home with AMAZING views!

We can’t say enough great things about our stay! Sweet home with AMAZING views, very clean, comfy beds, original artwork fills the home, great hostess - very attentive, so much to see and do! We spent our week exploring nature and saw a moose, wolves, lots of eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, deer, and a lot of birds! Amazing! We WILL be back!

SUNSET BEACH

Quaint, clean and beautiful. You will not be disappointed in this property as it is very close to the water and well maintained. Home has everything you and your family will need- WiFi, beach, dock and cooking necessities. We had our grandchildren up from Houston and really enjoyed the porch/ dining room. Even caught enough lake trout for a fish fry!

Our Best Stay Yet

Over the past few years we have stayed in a lot of VRBOs across the UP all have been good experiences, but this stay was the best we have had yet! The grounds were BEAUTIFUL! There is many outdoor living spaces available to enjoy the Huron Bay, including a deck off the loft above the garage for a little different perspective. The house was comfortable and charming with beautiful views of this bay from nearly every room. It was equipped with everything you needed to enjoy your stay including modern conveniences like WiFi. This is the perfect home base if you want to explore the west end of the UP. You are less than 2 hours to anywhere on the Keweenaw Peninsula, a hour and a half from the Porkies and close to many other iconic UP destinations. If you prefer to stick closer to home, Mt. Arvon and too many waterfalls to list are right out this property's back door. The check in was easy snd the host was attentive, checking a couple of times to see how our stay was goong and offering her help if anything comes up. We also met the owners and they were friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this property, we hope to make it an annual visit!!
