Wonderful location, great view of the lake, close to Hopewell Rocks and Bay of Fundy Parks, spacious house with plenty of room for 9 people. Plenty of surrounding area to walk around. Great patio to enjoy the sunshine and breeze. Quiet and relaxing. House was clean and well-cared for. That being said, it wasn't communicated well about how to check in, nor that, while we could use the laundry, we would have to bring our own detergent to use. Despite those little glitches, which were easily resolved, we would definitely stay there again, if we're in the area. Thank you to

What a wonderful week we had! The property and grounds are gorgeous, the house itself is huge and it had everything we needed and more (Piano! Walk-in closet! Spa in the bedroom!) Very clean, too. We had fun on the lake and at all the nearby tourist sights. Clyde is extremely nice. Thank you again for such a wonderful week!

Nous avons passé une belle semaine dans cette spacieuse maison. Le très grand terrain et les équipements nautiques nous ont permis de passer de beaux moments à l'extérieur, près du chalet. Prévoyez faire l'épicerie lors de vos sorties, car les plus grands centres sont à minimum 50 minutes de route. Les 3 salles de bain complètes sont un atout très pratique pour un grand groupe. Le chalet et toutefois vielliot (conforme aux photos) et certains lits manquaient un peu de confort (divan-lit). Dans l'ensemble, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour.

Great week with family!

Enjoyed staying in this spacious house. Catching fish in the lake made for some memorable moments. We also had fun visiting the nearby town of Alma where we bought fresh lobster and ice cream.

Séjour NH en famille

Très bien placé et agréable. Sympa d’avoir canots et kayak. Les poules, leurs œufs et les chanterelles sont un plus. Communication un peu compliquée au début pour joindre l’hôte; utiliser plutôt l’appel direct sur cellulaire. Mais après c’était parfait et il était très attentionné. Un enjeu pour nous toutefois : le taux d’humidité dans la maison qui a déclenché des crises d’allergies à répétition pour notre grande fille.

Home away from home

The host was so nice and hospitable. The kids (and the adults) enjoyed the nearby lake and the provided water sports. The place is so peaceful and about 25min drive to Hopewell Rock and Fundy National Park. Our family and relatives had a great time!

Perfect getaway

Clyde was the perfect host checking periodically making sure all our needs were met. The 4 bedroom 3 bath home was perfect even though we only used the upper floor. Lots of room for the 4 of us. The home is situated near the bay of fundy and close enough to enjoy the beautiful coastline from Hopewell Cape and the Fundy Parkway.

A Quiet Oasis

This cottage was perfect for 6 couples (all in our 60s and 70s). We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with a great BBQ. We certainly enjoyed sitting on the deck, swimming in the lake and paddling the canoes. Clyde is a great host who lives to chat and is quick to respond to questions. Driving along the road exit at the sign that says The New Horton Lake Inn, the blue/green cottage is 2nd house on right with a carport. If you have kids they’ll love visiting the turkeys next door.

Great Location Kids loved the place

The property is well maintained and the landscaping was lovely. The family really enjoyed the lake. The boys were busy fishing while the rest were swimming. The canoe, kayak, and pedal boat were a nice bonus. There is lots to do in the area, i.e. , Hopewell Cape, Cape Enrage , Fundy National park, Albert County Museum, Railroad museum, hiking trails, etc We hope to return again in the near future. The hosts were very accommodating.

Clyde and Virginia Woodworth built this as a cottage in 1991. Our families are from this area but we have lived in many parts of Canada. We live on the same property but in a different house so will be here to help with any problems.

We are a quarter mile off the main highway so peace and quiet are one of the reasons to be here. Lots of creatures to amuse you from horses on the farm to wild turkeys roaming and the occasional dog, cat or chicken.
