Cozy Shandon Bungalow in the heart of one of the most historic neighborhoods in Columbia. The house is 1594 sq/ft and is fully furnished with 3 bed/2 bath. Located 2 miles from Williams Brice and 8 minutes from Ft. Jackson . Walking distance from Publix, Dano's Pizza, Rosewood Market, Starbucks, and Rosewood Dairy Bar.


You'll have the entire house to yourself! There is a master 'suite' in the back of the house with a bathroom and sitting room which includes board games as well as a TV for gaming or watching your favorite shows. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking essentials, a toaster oven/air fryer combo, and a Ninja CFP301 DualBrew Pro coffee maker that is compatible with Kcups, grounds, or use the frother to make your favorite morning drink! The living room has a 50" Samsung smart TV with YouTube TV logged in for local stations. Off the living room you will find the second bathroom and two comfortable bedrooms with Sealy Memory Foam mattresses. There is also a desk and office chair in one of the rooms for those who need to work while they travel! The back yard is shared with the guest house where you can enjoy an evening fire at the fire pit or grill your favorite meal and eat under the string lights under a stunning pecan tree that provides shade to the back yard!

The house is very clean and cozy. The beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Communication with the owner was great. Perfect distance from Fort Jackson and surrounded by plenty of places to shop and eat.

Very VERY nice accommodations. Comfy beds and the air conditioning is the BEST. LOCAL EATS and quite neighborhood. Not too far from Ft Jackson. Definitely will book again. Especially lived the at from local artist THE CHICKEN MAN grabbing the dining room walls. Host knows everything about local area and is very informative. Recommend staying here

Clean and comfy home

Great location for Fort Jackson graduation. My soldier enjoyed leaving base and enjoying a home cooked meal. We enjoyed the picnic table, fire pit area and the front porch. Would recommend.

What a gem. Convenient location. We had two business travelers, and it was ideal to have one in a front bedroom and one in the back. We had a common area to hang out, but privacy when needed. Thanks for having us!

Short visit on our way to Florida

This property was perfect for our short stay in Colombia. Very clean and very comfortable. Our daughter goes to USC and she loved the fact we could cook for her and just spend time. Will def stay here again when we come back. Location to everything we did was fantastic!

Spacious and cozy

Property is roomy with separation between master area and front two bedrooms. 2 bathrooms is a plus with a group. Beds were super comfy and considering how hot and humid it was (95+) the house stayed cool and comfortable. Stores and restaurants within walking distance if you choose. Host Dave was very responsive and made sure we had every we needed.

Newly minted Army WOC

Stayed to see our son graduate from Army basic training with family and friends. This is a great location! Walkable to Publix, pizza, ice cream, fresh bakery, liquor store etc. It is also a straight shot to Fort Jackson Gate 1. The towels were five star, along with the provided bath toiletries. Beds and bedding were hotel quality and very comfortable. We also had a warm welcome with a bottle of wine left for us in the kitchen. We had a few issues however. NO toilet paper was provided which we found out 'on the go' and no trash bags in the kitchen. The master shower had a few issues like the door doesn't close because the dimensions are off, the hot water doesn't work because the handle just spins, no towel rack, and no window covering for the window in the bath. Only other issue was the back storm door won't latch shut into an alcove inside the house but there is another door that has a dead bolt. Over all the house is very cute, great location and served us well for the five days we stayed. We would stay again as it is a cute neighborhood and I hope this review highlights a few things that could be 'fixed' for the next guests.

Cute house , close to campus ( short drive). It had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay again. Our only complaint was the back bathroom door wouldn’t close because the quarter-round trim blocked it. Also there wasn’t a curtain in that bathroom

Wonderful home!

We were in town for the weekend. The neighborhood is great for walking (people or dogs) and is so close to everything we wanted to do in Columbia. The house is clean and comfortable, and the backyard living space is a nice bonus!

Hi all! My name is David and my wife, Carissa, and I have been living in Columbia for the past 9 years. I am originally from Scranton, PA (yes, where "The Office" is set) and I moved here to do a master's degree after finishing Undergrad. I am now working in education. Carissa is from the upstate of SC and works in communications. We purchased this property about 7 years ago and have been renovating it since. We rented out the carriage house as a short-term rental for about 3 years now and just recently moved across town and are now renting out the main house as well! We loved living in the Shandon neighborhood and can not wait to share the property we love so much with our guests! We both love to travel and we both work a lot! We both have part-time jobs; Carissa plays in a cover band and I work part-time in EMS. We love Columbia and spend a lot of time out on Main street. You can often find us at the Soda city market on Saturday mornings or at Bourbon for an evening cocktail. If you need anything or have any questions, please let us know! We are just a few miles away and can be available whenever you need!
