The Space:

Like something out of a storybook, this woodland inspired cottage gets its name from the authentic red cedar shingles that adorn the exterior and the babbling creek that winds its way through the woods below.



You’ll enter to find overstuffed couches inviting you to kick back and enjoy spending time with loved ones, or curl up with a book. Board games, books, and internet TV are all provided to make this living room a great place for entertaining. With an open concept floor plan, even the cook in the family can take part in the festivities while preparing a meal in the well-appointed and gorgeous kitchen. Truly a cook’s kitchen, you’ll have everything you need for baking or preparing a hearty meal, while enjoying the beautiful aesthetic of the black cabinets, custom open shelving and butcher block countertops.



Enjoy coffee on the deck in the mornings with a tree-top view into the woods below, and in the evening, fire up the gas grill for dinner.



No getaway is complete without a little star-gazing and s’mores around a fire, so you won’t want to miss our sandstone fire pit and comfy Adirondack chairs just a short walk from the cottage.



Settle in for the night in one of three very comfy bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin bunks complete with a desk for getting a little work or school done.

The two other bedrooms are oversized master suites with quality queen beds; one with a memory foam mattress and the other with a luxury pillow top mattress, for a restful night’s sleep. Each room contains dressers for longer stays and luggage racks for suitcases.



Two oversized full bathrooms will pamper you after a day spent outdoors. One bathroom features a tub/shower combo for your soaking pleasure. The other features a luxurious marble tiled shower with a ceiling mounted rain shower head and separate wand. Both feature custom built-ins for towels and gorgeous vanities for storage and a complimentary hair dryer.



Longer stays will enjoy the large laundry room with front loading washer and dryer and butcher block countertop for folding laundry.

The Neighborhood:

This cabin is situated in a neighborhood setting in a perfectly central location for many activities in the Red River Gorge, The cabin is located off of paved roads, 4WD is not required!

The water is city water and considered safe for all uses.

The WiFi is fast and the cell service in the area is considered good.



Other Things to Note:

Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



Pets are allowed at this cabin. We charge a flat pet fee of $50 for up to two pets. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.
