This cabin is ideally located on one of Maines most pristine lakes, Thomas Pond., just 25 min from Portland . Cabin is remote and accessed by provided kayaks and row boat. The property offers main land parking for one car. Owners will meet you to shuttle you over on their pontoon boat and ensure you are settled. This property is essentially "off the grid" There is limited solar power (sun dependent) The appliances ie: refrigerator and stove and gas grill are run on propane There is a private shower (water heated by propane accessing filtered lake water ) on deck with a modern compostable out house toilet on site. (see photos) Please note there is no internet or tv. This is an opportunity to have a great off the grid, camping like experience with some comforts. Also great spot for kids to enjoy swimming and fishing. Enjoy evening campfires around the firepit . Minimal led lighting so renters will need to be ready to completely unwind. AGAIN- No tv, no internet! Ability to charge your phone on a dc platform . There is cell service. French press coffee maker on site.
Please remember to separate trash from recycles. All paper, tin, glass goes into the recycle. Trash in the kitchen receptacle.
You can easily return to shore with one of the provided kayaks or the row boat, or for a dinner off site. (be mindful of returning after dark) A flash light is important. Maine fun park is less than 15 minutes away where you and the family can enjoy mini golf, go carts etc. Many area restaurants and shopping within a 15-minute drive. Sleeps 6 people with 2 private bedrooms and a bedroom loft . One full bed and 4 singles. Linens provided Bring towels.
