The property is in a great location and is bright, spacious and airy. However given the cost, there were a number of issues which we feel were unacceptable. Actually even it if had been less expensive, they would still have been a problem..
Downstairs:
No key for the outside door and the doorbell didn’t’ work
Only one set of keys for the property
All outdoor/indoor soft furnishings stained
Not enough seating for the main table
No welcome pack at all (I appreciate this isn’t a requirement but there was literally nothing)
General:
No chairs in any of the bedrooms or bathrooms
Nowhere to hang towels in the second bathroom
Master bedroom shower faulty and unusable. Plumber took 24 hours to attend and then said the entire fitting needed to be changed
Overhead night lights in the master bedroom couldn’t be turned off and electrician never came to the property to sort
Outside:
The garden is totally uncared for and the furniture dirty and mostly wet. Badly needed attention. Likewise the terrace off the master bedroom. Wet and stained furniture and the door almost impossible to open/close
Communication:
There is no way to contact the host directly. At best, you're only able to speak with the host's "assistant" who isn't helpful in any way.
I mistakenly overbooked, and noticed the error minutes after booking. Per CA law, cancelations are permitted within 24hrs of booking up to 4 days before the reservation. The owner violated this law. Know your rights when booking in CA.
