Excellent stay, wished the dryer worked.

Me and mine had a great time at this property. It was fun being able to do my own cooking - which I enjoy doing. Everything was clean. The one stain was the dryer did not work. It tumbled, but did not heat up. Still that did not stop us, and we want to do the same thing next year, but expand out group.

Under delivered

It’s unfortunate that I have to put this down. This was our first VRBO experience and it was disappointing. Communication with the manager was ok. Initially it was great. He was very receptive to the few things we found out wrong with the property, then as we discovered more, not so much. A few things were broken (cabinet door) and or missing (tv controller), freezer had stuff from the prior occupants. The biggest one was the dryer, knobs were broken, and none of the heat settings worked, and I found myself doing laundry at a laundromat. When I let the property manager know, he informed that no prior tenants had said anything about it, and that his cleaning crew uses it with no issue. I guess I just wanted to take time from my trip to go do laundry away from where I thought I was supposed to be staying. Over all the place needed some TLC, but it was livable. A lot of minor things that just added up and just under delivered. It would have been nice if the sofas were updated, they sunk in terribly. Last thing, as a disabled vet, it would have been nice to know that the listing was upstairs.

Beach Vacation

Upon arriving the door to our unit was unlocked, which we thought was odd since we were given a door code. The unit itself was nice/spacious and fit the needs of our family of 5. A few things we were unhappy about a broken dryer that supposedly the owner didn’t know about, but looking back at other reviews I see other renters mention it. A fridge that was broken/rusted out by the ice maker and just taped over with white duct tape. Not enough bedding for the amount of beds, i.e. only 2 extra sheets for the couch bed no blanket. As for the broken dryer, it was never fixed while we were there so since we flew and packed based on having a washer and dryer, I had to waste money and my time going to the laundromat instead. Also, the items for the kitchen were random and very sparse as well. Overall it worked for our family who came to enjoy the beach and sight see, but could have been better with a few things fixed/updated.

Very nice unit close to the beach

We very much liked this unit but it is in a general state of disrepair and neglect. It is a lovely place but needs much TLC. Now I realize most of what's below is nit-picky and honest if I was only there for a weekend it would be a nonissue but I was there for a full month and these issues added up for me. I replaced 6 burned out light bulbs at my expense upon arrival. The refrigerator ice maker is broken and several door trays are missing. The washing machine/dryer had 2 broken knobs so we had to move knobs around to work it. The kitchen pantry was empty --- not even any salt or pepper. The couch is very uncomfortable sinking very low in the middle and if you sit on the ends you slide towards the middle. The mattress on the king bed is very firm. Uncomfortable for me but if you like firm bedding you will like this bed. The window screens were missing or torn and the windows do not open and close like they should (can't sleep with the windows open). Despite having 6 sets of kitchen tongs there was only 1 tablespoon. There is no drainage in front of the driveway. When it rains there is ankle deep water at the bottom of the driveway you will have to walk through for days. This is a second story unit and the railing around the stoop is missing 2 slats making it hazardous for children and pets as it is easy to fall through.

Worst stay ever

First the listing stated it was 3 bedrooms and 5 beds. It was only 2 bedrooms and 4 beds. The sofa bed they expected 2 people to sleep on would only work if you have very small children. The kitchen faucet was leaking and my husband had to unclog the shower drain that was full of a lot of hair. When I reached out to the host they never really apologized for the listing being incorrect just told me the home was equipped for 7 to sleep comfortably. All the beds were hard and the couch and loveseat weren’t even comfortable for sitting on so I know they aren’t made to be slept on but that’s what we had to do because the sofa bed mattress was nasty looking so thin and small no one was gonna sleep on that. The host also went and changed the listing as soon as I made him aware but would not offer any refund. Had it been listed correctly in the beginning I would have never rented it. Also the listing does not even mention that this is an upstairs unit which would have been nice to know since I don’t do stairs very well. The house was also infested with roaches. To the point I was scared we would take some home with us so I had to have my own home sprayed as soon as I got home to kill any that may have traveled with us. If you want to sleep in hard beds and see roaches this is the place for you. I will say the host was quick to respond just not very helpful.
