Very nice unit close to the beach

We very much liked this unit but it is in a general state of disrepair and neglect. It is a lovely place but needs much TLC. Now I realize most of what's below is nit-picky and honest if I was only there for a weekend it would be a nonissue but I was there for a full month and these issues added up for me. I replaced 6 burned out light bulbs at my expense upon arrival. The refrigerator ice maker is broken and several door trays are missing. The washing machine/dryer had 2 broken knobs so we had to move knobs around to work it. The kitchen pantry was empty --- not even any salt or pepper. The couch is very uncomfortable sinking very low in the middle and if you sit on the ends you slide towards the middle. The mattress on the king bed is very firm. Uncomfortable for me but if you like firm bedding you will like this bed. The window screens were missing or torn and the windows do not open and close like they should (can't sleep with the windows open). Despite having 6 sets of kitchen tongs there was only 1 tablespoon. There is no drainage in front of the driveway. When it rains there is ankle deep water at the bottom of the driveway you will have to walk through for days. This is a second story unit and the railing around the stoop is missing 2 slats making it hazardous for children and pets as it is easy to fall through.

Worst stay ever

First the listing stated it was 3 bedrooms and 5 beds. It was only 2 bedrooms and 4 beds. The sofa bed they expected 2 people to sleep on would only work if you have very small children. The kitchen faucet was leaking and my husband had to unclog the shower drain that was full of a lot of hair. When I reached out to the host they never really apologized for the listing being incorrect just told me the home was equipped for 7 to sleep comfortably. All the beds were hard and the couch and loveseat weren’t even comfortable for sitting on so I know they aren’t made to be slept on but that’s what we had to do because the sofa bed mattress was nasty looking so thin and small no one was gonna sleep on that. The host also went and changed the listing as soon as I made him aware but would not offer any refund. Had it been listed correctly in the beginning I would have never rented it. Also the listing does not even mention that this is an upstairs unit which would have been nice to know since I don’t do stairs very well. The house was also infested with roaches. To the point I was scared we would take some home with us so I had to have my own home sprayed as soon as I got home to kill any that may have traveled with us. If you want to sleep in hard beds and see roaches this is the place for you. I will say the host was quick to respond just not very helpful.

Thanksgiving Stay

For the most part, the stay was ok. Beds were not very clean and the master bath tub drain didn’t work properly. Fridge was not very clean. We could not get the TV in the master bedroom to turn on. We spent little time on the condo as we were in town to see family for the holiday.

Not a good stay

Property management communicated well. Check in process was easy with businesses and beach within close walking distance. Issues were with the cleanliness of the property and comfort. Pool was very dirty (had to clean it myself). When i was trying to turn the pool light on i had this strange guy watching me in the dark with my family there. I asked him what he wanted and he said he was looking at the property to suggest to owners to put lights in the back. Pretty weird. He left after i turned the pool lights on. Also found cockroaches and spiders in the master bedroom. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. My wife compared them to sleeping on bales of hay. Overall not a good stay.

Almost a good stay

Location: super short walking distance to beach. The first night was uncomfortable since we had to do without the master bedroom because of the missing window. The repair man set it back till the following morning. I was able figure out wich remote belonged each tv, except the living room. Seems the remote night be unprogrammed. Other than that, the layout was like a little cozy home. The 2 restrooms are a great plus! Good Communication with the owner. Relpied in a timely manner!
