My name is Casey, the owner of The Scarlet Villas. I’d like to first personally welcome you to our jungle paradise. I’m thrilled to share our slice of heaven with you. I’ve found that Costa Rica has a way of giving you what you need. I first came to Costa Rica in 2019 shortly after going through a divorce. I was living in downtown San Francisco, leading a sales organization at a tech startup and spent my time engulfed in the day to day city life. Not finding the time I needed to slow down. I received my Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Costa Rica where I lived in a treehouse for a month. I truly believe that my time in Costa Rica healed me. Since then its been a mission of mine to help or assist in healing others through this magical country and of course with yoga, meditation, food, nature, etc. This has been proven out through many of our guests and the experiences they have had while being here. Shortly after we changed the name to The Scarlet Villas. The majestic scarlet macaws are one of the country’s most beautiful treasures. Ever since I saw the scarlet macaws for the first time flying over me while driving to my new home in Ojochal, I was obsessed. We started with renovating our oldest villa, Villa Coco. It has been upgraded to support handicap guests and we’re excited to offer that option. We’ve added a brand new bar, community area, tv lounge (Lapa Lounge), an elegant bar, yoga deck (The Nest) and a brand new lobby to welcome our guests. I am a yoga instructor and reiki practitioner. We also offer our space to retreat hosts or conference leaders. The Nest is our brand new yoga deck. I spent 12+ years in the tech industry having lived in LA, NYC and SF. I am still very well connected in the industry as an advisor for some too. We welcome remote workers or digital nomad types with amenities like fast wifi, unique working spaces and also the ability to host conferences. Ojochal is a jungle mountain town. It's located on the southern pacific coast of Cost Rica. The local area has many unique local beaches for surfing or relaxing. There are many acitivies in the area that guests can enjoy including ziplining, snorkeling, paragliding, surf lessons, fishing, kayaking, putt putt golf, golf and so much more. The area is known as the culinary capital of Costa Rica because of the many incredible restaurants. Local waterfalls are a close drive and the property has private river access.

The Scarlet Villas provide guests with a unique local experience. Surrounded by jungle you see a plethora of wildlife like the howler monkeys, sloths. toucans, scarlet macaws, anteaters and so much more. We have gardens in the property where we grow fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs that we distribute to our guests to enjoy making homemade meals in their large villa kitchens. It's those small details that really set your experience apart from anywhere else. Our customer service is top notch making our guests feel like they are home when they stay with us!
