Welcome to The Friday Escape!
Enjoy open acres including ponds and a nature path through the woods, sprawling with wildlife and some of the elk herds’ favorite grazing fields. A perfect retreat in the heart of Benezette.
You will find local attractions within a few miles. Spend the day exploring or relaxing by the fire pit. The house comes with all of the amenities for cooking, but if a sunset glass of wine or a heated game of shuffleboard sounds good, this is the place for you!
Addition of a spacious patio added in January 2024 with access from sliding doors in the living room. Recent addition of 6 person hot tub. Summer additions to patio will include a 20 x 25 ft area under roof, grilling and dining area, cornhole and lounging furniture.

Great weekend getaway with the family!

Excellent location, great hosts and an exceptionally clean property. We've stayed here before and feel so at home. It's so relaxing. The back patio is the perfect place to hang out and we had elk right in the yard & across the road in the large field. We already planned additional stays!

Friends enjoying a winter break in Benezette

We are 3 couples who are lifelong friends enjoying a a short winter vacation in beautiful Elk Country. The house was comfortable and met all our needs. The slow 6" snowfall added to the beauty of the area, and seeing 2 bulls in our front yard was the icing on the cake. Wouldn't change a thing, highly recommend this property.

Best home to rent on Winslow Hill.

Absolutely Spectacular. The home is as nice as it gets. Sitting on up on the hill overlooking 62 beautiful acres of open meadows and lush forest where wild turkeys deer and elk visit regularly.

This home was exceptional. The outdoor space was incredible, quiet and comfortable. The nicest outdoor living area we have ever experienced. Felt like home

The house was as described, clean and in a fantastic location. Communication was great with owners and attention to detail in home was spot on. Can’t say enough about the outdoor space, it was beautiful and peaceful. But by far the best part of our stay was the Tempur pedic mattress in the master suite. Bought one as soon as we came home. No back and shoulder pain for 3 days! Loved our stay only complaint was it was too short, will be back again.

Everything was perfect. The location, the house, the outside patio and hot tub… the stars! The wine! Owners were exceptional and attended to every detail. It was the best VRBO I have ever visited. The home and property was very inviting, clean and well accommodated. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had and even provided water, coffee pods, wine and some beer. This house is beautiful and exactly as listed. Very peaceful location. The house is very well stocked with everything you need for your stay. We saw elk while we were there. We went to the Benezette Hotel for dinner and drinks. I would recommend going there to eat. Very friendly people. We plan to come back again.

The property was a perfect setting, but the host got everything right to the smallest detail. From mutiple options for you to make your coffee, Q-tips in the bathroom, fresh propane in the grill and a nice stack of split wood for the fire pit - they are amazing. Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful Christmas get-away here. The house is beautiful. The host decorated the house for Christmas for us with a tree plus pretty lights Even gave us a bottle of wine!. We had everything we needed or asked for. Communication with host is excellent. Great place to see elk in fall, we are sure. Putting in huge patio out back which will be great! Would recommend a stay here!

Amazing Getaway!

This house was a perfect getaway for our family. It was even better than the photos with everything you could need for your stay. The house was incredibly clean and decorated so you feel right at home. The walking paths on either side of the property was beautiful and full of wildlife. We frequently come to Benezette and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed! They are adding a hot tub too!! You won’t be disappointed! Jeffrey was incredibly complimentary; and the local wine was a kind gesture!

Birthday Weekend

My family stayed here over the September 22-24 weekend. We saw plenty of elk from the front porch. Even had one come up the front yard. The views are spectacular with or without the elk. Jeff and Brooke were extremely accommodating and helpful letting us know what we could enjoy around the area. The house is beautiful and we will definitely plan a trip back here in the future.
