Experience the beauty of St. Mary's Glacier in this spacious 1-bedroom condo. Surrounded by nature, this hidden gem offers fast Starlink internet, a cozy sunroom with 2 extra beds, and walking access to hiking trails and a stocked lake. Venture out to nearby Idaho Springs for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Ideal for couples or small groups/families seeking a mountain getaway with ample space. This charming condo promises a memorable stay amid stunning landscapes and outdoor adventures.
The Space:
We are situated right next to private Silver Lake. We will supply you with fishing badges, poles, and 2 folding chairs to use lakeside. We will also provide a boating badge for use of non-motorized boats on the lake.
Our condo comfortably and privately sleeps 4 people - Queen bed in the Master Bedroom, and 2 single beds in the Sunroom with available privacy shade.
We have fast STARLINK satellite internet w/ Wifi speeds over 100mbps. Our condo is perfect for those that need reliable internet for remote work.
A 4x4 vehicle will be needed to get up here in the late Fall, Winter and Spring. Your entire drive is on a paved, county-maintained road, but conditions can change quickly and a reliable vehicle is needed.
Living room features 65-inch curved television for your entertainment needs. Roku is provided for access to all of your streaming services.
We are an easy 5-minute walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead. Free parking here at the complex. Lots of other hiking in the area. Often you will spot moose, fox, deer, hummingbirds.
This lovely condo has been totally redone with all new furnishings. Comfortable beds, Linens, Coffee and Tea will be left for you. There are also a few staples like salt and pepper, oil to cook with, and a few spices.
There are laundry facilities on the first floor, and we will provide a couple of free laundry pods for your convenience. There is also a public restroom on that floor for your use when you are at the barbecue area or the lake. The barbecue area has two gas grills for your use and picnic tables.
There are other neighbors in the building, and we ask you to please respect quiet time after 10:00pm.
This condo sits at 10500 ft. Be sure to drink lots of water as it is a very high altitude.
We are always available to answer any questions you may have. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Guest Access:
You will have full, exclusive access to the Condo. There are only 30 units in our Silver Lake Condo building, and it is generally very quiet. We will accept pets (2 max) for a one-time fee of $50.
There are laundry facilities located on the first floor as well as a public restroom for you use while you are fishing or boating at the lake.
The Neighborhood:
1. St. Mary's Glacier: A popular hiking destination, St. Mary's Glacier is located just a short walk (5 min) from the property. Park your vehicle at the Condo and walk to the trailhead!
2. Silver Lake: This serene alpine lake, located nearby, is perfect for a peaceful walk, day of fishing, kayaking or paddleboarding. Enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the area as you explore the lake's surroundings.
3. Idaho Springs: A charming historic town, Idaho Springs is just a 20-minute drive away. Here, you'll find unique shops, local restaurants, and a rich history that dates back to the days of the gold rush.
4. Ski Resorts: The property is conveniently located within driving distance of several ski resorts, making it an ideal base for winter sports enthusiasts.
5. Outdoor Recreation: The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering numerous opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, and wildlife watching. Bring your off-road vehicles to take advantage of the endless OHV trails throughout the area!
Getting Around:
A reliable 4x4/AWD vehicle is REQUIRED in the late Fall, Winter and Spring months. The condo is 9-miles up a county maintained/plowed road, but conditions can drastically change up here. There are areas of the road that are steep and sometimes slick, so please ensure that you have reliable transportation and experience driving in the snow.
There is 1 free parking spot for our unit, and plenty of overflow parking available on the East side of the condos.
You're a short 20 minute drive (9 miles) into Idaho Springs for restaurants, groceries, and entertainment.
