The Shipping Container Den in Red River Gorge is a modern, private retreat crafted from a repurposed shipping container. I've taken a shipping container with character and made a really unique and comfortable place to stay while you visit Red River Gorge. The cabin sits on the side of a hill with a spectacular view across the valley to the cliff line on the other side. While it is secluded, it is easy to get to. The road is paved all the way to the driveway of the cabin, which is flat and easy accessible. The cabin is completely climate controlled (Air Conditioning and Heat), has Spectrum TV, high speed WiFi and city water. The outside of the shipping container was left as it was while being in use. All of the dents and dings give it the character that I wanted. The inside is completely modern. It has maple walls, barn metal ceiling, hardwood flooring, designer cabinets and a 50 inch flat screen TV. The full bathroom has a spacious shower, toilet, vanity, and washer/dryer. Enjoy the outside by sitting by the stainless steel fire pit or soaking in the hot tub while watching the cliff line be illuminated by the setting sun. Wake up to the sunrise through the trees and the birds chirping in the woods. Go on a hike in Red River Gorge and come back to the cabin and relax in the hot tub. All linens, towels, wash rags, toilet paper, and soap is provided. This cabin is the perfect place for two people to enjoy and be super close to Red River Gorge.
