Das 1865 erbaute, komplett restaurierte englische Untergeschoss des Upscale Brick Townhouse bietet moderne Handwerkskunst und Komfort. Wunderschön eingerichtet und lichtdurchflutet, ist dieses Gerät genau das Richtige im Herzen von Capitol Hill!

Ein abgeschlossener Eingang führt zu dieser separaten Wohnung. Sobald Sie eintreten, betreten Sie ein sehr komfortables Wohnzimmer mit zwei Bussen, Hartholzböden mit orientalischen Teppichen, einem Kamin, einem 50-Zoll-Flachbild-TV und einem Esstisch. Die voll ausgestattete Küche verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten - Backofen, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Geschirr, Töpfe, Pfannen, Teller, Gläser; im grunde alles was man in einer küche braucht!

Es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem Doppelbett, das zweite mit einem Doppelbett. (Das Gerät bietet auch Platz für einen vierten Gast mit einem Doppelbett, das verfügbar ist, wenn der Eigentümer im Voraus benachrichtigt wird.) Frische Bettwäsche, Kissen, Decken und Bettdecken sind vorhanden. Es gibt ein komplettes Badezimmer mit frischen Handtüchern, Shampoos / Conditionern, Duschgels, Seife und einem Haartrockner.

Das Gerät ist auch voll klimatisiert, verfügt über Wifi, Direkt-TV mit HBO und Showtime, eine Waschmaschine / Trockner und eine temporäre Parkerlaubnis für das Parken an der Straße. Ein zusätzlicher Bonus ist die Nutzung des wunderschön angelegten Hinterhofs mit Gartenmöbeln.

Günstig gelegen, 3 Blocks vom US Capitol Building und 3 Blocks vom Eastern Market entfernt. Leicht zu Fuß zu mehr als 15 Restaurants, Supermärkten, Spirituosengeschäften und Geschäften und Boutiquen. 2 Minuten zu Fuß zu den Bushaltestellen und 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu den U-Bahn-Stationen Capitol South oder Eastern Market.

Perfect for DC!

This cute little basement area was just what we needed while in DC. We were traveling with two kids, 5 and 7 and they loved the area, and the house too! The host was awesome, with lots of good recommendations, good communication and friendly. This will be a property we look for when we come back to DC.

A Nice Place to Land

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Christie's garden apartment. The location was fantastic for all the activities we wanted to easily access. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable and we appreciated being able to pull the shades on all the windows to lengthen our morning sleep. We also enjoyed sitting in the shady backyard after our long days exploring. We didn't use the kitchen except for morning coffee. I'd stay here again!

Great Location and Cozy

Great communication with our host. The unit is just as advertised. The basement apartment is comfortable and is in an amazing location and neighborhood. In three walking directions you have access to few corner/mini marts, 6 to 10 sit down food options, street markets, and Trader Joe's. There are electric scooter and bike rentals everywhere you look, we used Lime. Uber or Cab rides were averaging around 20 bucks for longer rides to places by the waterfront and the neighborhood/city area over by the White House and Grand Station. It was a perfect location for our family of three to explore all DC has to offer. Super convenient quick food options, 2 min walk, for lunch or dinner when we got back from exploring the sites all day. The sleeping arrangements in this unit are different but the three beds were comfortable and bedding was plentiful. The kitchen had all we needed for Tea, coffee and small breakfasts. Shower was good and the living room couches and TV/Direct TV was cozy and relaxing in the evening. The unit has a solid rod iron security gate which is nice for people who like more security at a front entryway. Perfect home base for exploring.

Excellent location in Washington, DC!

We loved staying in this property! Our family could not have asked for a better location. We were within walking distance of the Capitol building, Smithsonian museums, and memorials. We were also near a metro stop, so getting around beyond those things was easy, too. The home was comfortable and cozy, and Christie was helpful and kind. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Fabulous Stay

Location location location, fabulous place to stay with walking access to so many historical sites and places (literally around the corner). Comfy place too with great amenities that make you feel at home. Host also gave great tips about the local area and in our case the Jazz scene. We'll be back and this will be where we'll want to stay!

Perfect location in Capitol Hill

Stayed here with my wife and toddler for two nights. It had everything we needed and was walkable to everything in Capitol Hill. Parking was easy enough as well. Host was very responsive and accommodating as well.

Awesome Location

My only warning to others is that the bathroom is located by walking through the small bedroom area where the single bed is located. It is fine for families and friends who don't mind the intrusion by others. But if you are with those whom can't be disturbed to get to the bathroom, this may not work for you.

A week’s stay on independence ave.

Our place was in a nice neighborhood with easy walking access to restaurants and grocery stores. It was very clean and the decor was warm and traditional. Being a below ground level apartment it was a bit dark and only had one small operable window in the bathroom. At night it was uncomfortably warm. The host was friendly and enthusiastic however at times it was difficult to get a response from her in a timely fashion.

Charming apartment in a fantastic central location

We are a family of four and we stayed in this lovely apartment for three nights. The location was perfect, a beautiful, peaceful area but within walking distance of all the main sights. There are lots of restaurants within a 5 minute walk and also some grocery shops nearby. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. Communication with the owner was excellent and the additional bed we requested was set up and ready for us upon our arrival. We loved our stay here and would be very happy to stay again if we come back to Washington.

Capitol Hill Apartment

The property was as expected. Lovely location, in/out as expected. Dishes and silverware were not clean. I killed several ants in the bathroom that came out from under the vanity. Biggest negative was the gold coffee pot basket which was coated inside with old coffee grounds and a thick layer of mold. I didn’t wash it and didn’t use it so you could see for yourself what I observed. I would stay again but not without assurances that it was cleaner than this time. The queen mattress was not very firm and seemed not to be level, but it may have been the floor. But still a charming place. Needs a little love.

Location, location, location!

Amazing location, just a few minutes’ walk to Capitol / Library of Congress / Supreme Court! My kids were thrilled with all we could see and do. Very quick walk to Trader Joe’s and Eastern Market, so easy to grab food for meals. Apartment was clean and well maintained. It’s very small and all of the rooms connect, so there’s not a lot of privacy (e.g. you have to walk through the main bedroom and the small converted walk-in / second bedroom to get into the bathroom), but it worked out fine and the price was right. The owner is super responsive, friendly, and helpful! Street parking was easy to find and a visitor’s permit is provided.
