Your getaway begins with a breathtaking drive up Virginia’s Blue Mountains, where Far View Cabin greets you with panoramic views stretching over 50 miles on clear days. Whether you’re here to unwind or reconnect with loved ones, this cabin is thoughtfully designed for relaxation and togetherness.

Main Floor — A striking two-story stone fireplace anchors the open living area, surrounded by oversized couches perfect for gathering on cool evenings. The fully stocked chef’s kitchen features premium appliances—including a Vitamix blender, KitchenAid mixer, crockpot, toaster, and waffle iron—along with ample dinnerware and wine glasses, making it easy to cook and host in style. Just off the kitchen, step onto the large screened-in porch, where mornings begin with coffee over glowing valley views and evenings end with unforgettable sunsets. This level also offers two inviting bedrooms, each with a dedicated workspace, and a full bathroom.

Basement Game & Movie Room — The basement transforms into a hub for entertainment and relaxation. A second electric fireplace warms the large family room, complete with a sectional sofa, extra seating, a massive 75” TV with soundbar, and oversized games perfect for families or groups. This level also includes a third bedroom, another full bathroom, and a laundry room, with direct walkout access to the private hot tub—ready to be enjoyed year-round under the stars.

Outdoor Oasis — Four distinct outdoor spaces truly make Far View Cabin special. The main level front deck features seasonal décor, patio seating, and a grill for outdoor culinary pursuits. The rear deck offers a fully screened-in porch with plenty of seating, serving as a quiet refuge for morning coffee or evening wine. The lower deck expands the living space with additional seating and games, before opening up to the hot tub and propane fire pit—the perfect setting for stargazing and evening s’mores.

Upstairs Loft — the second floor loft retreat offers two futons and a 43” TV, creating a cozy nook for reading or catching up on your favorite shows.

Guests have access to the entire cabin excluding storage closets.

Far View Cabin sits within a community of full-time residents, vacation home owners, and short term rentals.

A vehicle is required for getting around the neighborhood and surrounding area attractions, restaurants, and other destinations.

It also includes detailed property information and FAQs to help you prepare for and enjoy your stay to the fullest.

🐶 Pets — We love hosting your furry companions and welcome up to two dogs. Please include them in your reservation, and a pet fee will automatically be added to your total. Additional dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis with additional fees to cover wear, tear, and enhanced cleaning. Emotional support animals (ESAs) are designated as pets and subject to the same fees and policies. Service animals are always welcome—just let us know in advance so we can alert our cleaning team.

📶 Connectivity — The cabin is equipped with high-speed WiFi suitable for streaming and remote work. Please note that cell service can be spotty in the mountains, but once connected to WiFi you’ll stay reliably online.

🚼 Family-Friendly Amenities — Traveling with little ones? We provide a pack n’ play crib and a full-sized freestanding highchair to make your stay more convenient.

🚗 Vehicle Requirements — The property is served by paved roads except for the final 50 feet of roadway and the driveway, which are well-packed gravel. For most of the year, 2WD vehicles can access the property without issue. However, during snow or icy conditions, 4WD or AWD may be recommended or required. We’ll notify you in advance if winter weather is expected and provide guidance on safe access. Full refunds are typically only offered if the property is inaccessible for more than 24 hours by 4WD or AWD vehicles.

🧯 Guest Safety & Wellness — Your safety is our top priority. All bedding, including sheets, quilts, and blankets, is washed between reservations. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed in every bedroom, and fire extinguishers are located throughout the property. Flashlights and lanterns are also available in case of the rare mountain power outage.

🦌 Wildlife — The cabin is surrounded by nature—you’ll often see deer and may even catch a glimpse of turkeys, Eastern box turtles, foxes, or a black bear on the mountain. While the home itself is rarely bothered by critters, you may encounter the occasional bug or tiny visitor. Just let us know if anything is out of the ordinary.

🛏️ House Rules — To help preserve the peaceful setting, quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 8 AM. The maximum occupancy for the cabin is 6 guests. Please, no parties or events.

🌹 Special Occasion & Premium Services — We offer several decorating options and premium services to make your stay truly one of a kind. Our most popular package includes bubbly, fresh flowers, balloons, and décor for $320. We typically require at least five days’ notice, but we’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible. Check out our property guide for more details.
Noise & Music — County regulations prohibit outdoor music after 9 PM, regardless of volume. Please be respectful of neighbors at all hours and keep outdoor noise, music, and other disturbances to a minimum.

Extra Guests — No additional guests are permitted beyond those listed in your reservation unless approved in advance.

Smoking — Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property — indoors and outdoors. Evidence of smoking (including odors) will result in a $500 cleaning fee.

Fires & Prohibited Activities — Wood-burning fires are not permitted indoors or outdoors. Fireworks, ATVs, shooting, and hunting are not allowed.

Smart Home Technology — The cabin is equipped with WiFi, Ring security cameras, and a Minut sound monitor for comfort and security. Guests may not disconnect or tamper with these devices. Unauthorized interference may result in cancellation of your stay.
