Spacious Luxury Cabin near The Big Bear Creek!

Located in the heart of Manistee County just 1/2 mile from the Big Bear Creek, and surrounded by all of the wonderful amenities that Northern Michigan has to offer. Hunting, Hiking, Snowmobiling, World-class Fishing, Rivers, Beaches, and so much more! Property provides essentials for a long or short stay. Approximately 17 miles from Downtown Manistee & Lake Michigan. Dining, Shopping, Golf, & Casino within 10 miles. Garage space if needed and RV hookups.

2,400 sq. ft. Fully furnished Northern Lodge themed living space above a 40x 60 Barn (elevator) with 3 bedrooms (2 queens and two full beds, and twin rollaway available upon request), 2 full bathrooms, wood floors, plenty of dining space, large open kitchen dining and family room. Sofas spacious enough to sleep 2 additional guests. Max 8 guests. Extra guest fee is $25 per person per night and applies for each guest beyond 5. Laundry facility for extended stays.

Guests will be given privacy, but Owners live next door and can answer any questions guests might have about the area. Also available to assist you during your stay if needed.

Located in the great outdoors of Manistee County in Brethren Michigan not far from the Big Bear Creek, Big Manistee River, Portage Lake, Tippy Dam, and just a short drive from Manistee and Lake Michigan.

* Payment Processing Fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from any refunded amount.

We want to give future guests a quick heads-up: the elevator in the building is currently out of service, so stair access is required to reach the living space. We understand this may be an inconvenience for some guests and sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause.

If you have any concerns about accessibility or mobility, please don’t hesitate to reach out before booking — we’re happy to answer questions and help ensure the space is a good fit for your stay.

We kindly ask guests to honor our standard check-in and check-out times, as early check-ins and late check-outs are not available. Due to same-day turnovers, our cleaning team needs every moment to prepare the home thoroughly for each guest’s arrival—including yours. We look forward to hosting you!

Perfect Location & Spacious Living Space

The property is in the perfect location, about 10 minutes or less from everything we need and our vacation destination. The cabin was clean and very tidy. Everything was as described, and it exceeded expectations overall. The living area was very spacious, giving six of us plenty of space to do our own thing while still being able to spend time visiting with each other.

Perfect Location

My group of 5 ladies came to Manistee to run the North Country Trail Festival of races. We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was beautiful and 11 m and 11 mintes from the race. Also, plenty of fresh towels, bedding and kitchen implements.beautiful

Great Stay for Family Ski Week

My hubby and I, two kids, our teenaged niece and my mother loved our 6-night stay here for a ski week. The location was less than 30 minutes from Caberfae Peaks and Crystal Mountain, and also less than 30 minutes to Manistee for great restaurants. We had so much room to play games, cook, and relax. The elevator was really nice when we were bringing all of our gear in and out. The barndominium was also very clean and had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen. Good communication with the owners on their lovely and quiet property. Thank you for a wonderful week of fun and memories!

Nice Spot in the Woods.

My friends and I stayed here for a trip and the cabin had a ton of space. There was a nice teail behind it for an easy hike, and the cabin was a short drive to good hiking spots like Misty Acres and Arcadia. We were also close to some fishing spots and off-roading. The hosts also provided your basic stuff like towels, coffee, etc. Only downside was that we wish we stayed an extra day or two. Overall, we will stay here again if we plan another Michigan trip.
