Take the trip up north to enjoy 40 acres of peaceful, wooded trails… Just minutes away from the shores of Lake Huron close to remote beaches, historic light houses, and Maritime museums. Scuba dive and explore the pristine shipwrecks 30 miles to the north in thunder Bay, shipwreck capital of Michigan’s coast or take a tour on a glass bottom boat. Lots of other activities. include golfing, amazing fishing on many of the lakes just around every corner. You can bike for miles along the coast on the paved bike only trails. Tube or kayak down the Au Sable river. lots of wildlife to observe deer, squirrels raccoons mice owls ect. Birdwatchers look for eagles they are everywhere and northern whippoorwills can be heard on our property. There’s so much to do. Hike on our trails through the beautiful woods. After a day of riding, swimming, fishing come back to the house and have a bonfire in our large fire pit, (please bring your own firewood and only wood is permitted in the firepit. No trash, glass or cans) observe the stars without light pollution. The sights are absolutely incredible. If you’re lucky you’re even get to see the northern lights. Have a barbecue on the grill, When the party‘s over go inside and sleep in one of the three comfortable bedrooms. Theres free Wi-Fi it’s a rural area usually the Wi-Fi is pretty good but the weather can affect the speed. We have two full bathrooms, cook your favorite meals in a fully equipped kitchen with open concept plan. The living room has two large couches with extra linens available. Should you need more sleeping space..There are three security outdoor cameras on the property two are mounted on the pole barn in front of the house, and one is mounted above the side door… This is for security and monitoring for safety reasons only… We have every comfort you could need so you can feel relaxed and refreshed. House is professionally cleaned just before your arrival. Minimum stay three days maximum 28. We lovingly call our home “A diamond in the ruff”.

Awesome place for families

The property was awesome and it comes stocked with everything you could possibly need. Check in and out was super easy and communicating with the host was fantastic. We have young kids and this place was perfect. We definitely will book again and are so grateful for this place!

Peaceful and great to relax!

The home was very clean! Great place to relax and enjoy watching deer and turkeys. Both morning and night we watched the fawns and doe. The owner has excellent communication and great responses if you have questions. Excellent weekend!!!!

Secluded and Cozy

Our stay was amazing! The home was perfect for our family and our dog! Very clean with a fun beach theme! Plenty of trails to hike! Super relaxing soaking bathtub. Was kid friendly for our 1 year old son! No complaints at all! We had a blast. So many attractions near by. The host was amazing and check in super simple!

Awesome!

Carol was a great hostess. Place was very clean. Very private & secluded. Close to state park & Lake Huron swimming. Park with playing equipment for 9 year old granddaughter @ park. Plenty of towels and linen. Full kitchen for cooking. We did not use Wi-Fi or tv but they were available. We would go back. Very beautiful. Jill

Perfect Hideaway Spot For Family or Solo Trips

First off Carol was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING right from the start. Extremely communicative through the booking, during our stay and after our stay. She knew I was bringing my two young children (7 & 2) for our annual vacation and provided so many ideas and fun things to do as I am not from the area. The home and property were exactly as listed, and we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from all the hustle and noise, this is it. You're far enough away to enjoy the stars without light pollution but close enough to beaches, ice cream shops, groceries and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and I made a lot of memories with my littles. We will be booking this lovely place again!

Beautiful location, house needs a little TLC

My husband and I were in town visiting family in Oscoda with our dog Tonka and chose this cabin for its beautiful and peaceful location away from the hustle of town in the busy summer months. The location is beautiful and serene, we saw many deer and heard an owl hooting one evening. While tucked away, it was close to the beaches in Greenbush and Harrisville and a short 15-20 minute drive to see our family in Oscoda. While the location was ideal, the property was in need of some cleanup and updates. The deck that wrapped the property was in need of another coat of paint and a few boards need to be replaced. A previous visitor must have left a window ajar and there were some bugs and a musty smells inside. Despite these issues, Carol was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout our stay. She shifted plans to come to the property immediately after we left to address these issues and I feel confident repairs will be made soon.

Yes, Colleen was right. We had a lot of rain and the runoff cause the end of the deck to become soft. I was unaware. I’m grateful for Colleen to bring this to my attention. I went up the next day and completely replace the deck that week… And filled in the space by the air conditioner. I am so sorry that she experienced this. It is my goal is for everyone to have a great time and for good reviews. I hope she will give us another chance in the future… She was very kind and I enjoyed hosting her.
