Getting Around:
We use Lyft/Uber for everything! But there are typically electric scooters and bikes right out front and you can walk to many places.
San Diego is a very walkable city while the surrounding neighborhoods and areas require a car. Very safe with beautiful weather good for strolling. Parking is easier than most other large cities (with the exception of little Italy) with abundance of free parking or minimal cost meters. If you have a larger group we recommend renting a car, small groups or solo uber will work. If you are not familiar with southern California, plan for a bit of traffic.
There is some public transit as well, the "Trolly" light rail system, and some buses- look up SDMTS for details.
