★OUR CLEANING PROTOCOLS SET US APART★
We stay in multiple vacation rentals a year, and we know firsthand how the cleanliness of a rental can make or break a vacation. Unlike most vacation rentals, at Chicory Cottage, we wash/change out all duvet covers, living room throw blankets, and living room throw pillow covers between every guest, in addition to all the typical bed sheets and pillowcases. We take cleaning very seriously, and we don't cut corners. Our whole-home process is extremely extensive because we know that your relaxation and enjoyment depend on it. Our home is family-managed and cared for because we believe you deserve the highest level of guest experience, cleanliness, and peace of mind during your vacation.

WITH THREE BEDROOMS AND 2.5 BATHS, EVERYONE CAN ENJOY PRIVATE SPACE WHILE VACATIONING TOGETHER
•All three bedrooms have their own Roku televisions, room-darkening window treatments, extra blankets, and closets.
•The spacious primary bedroom has a King bed and an ensuite bathroom. The ensuite has a double vanity and a stunning walk-in shower with a rain head shower head and glass surround.
•The second bedroom has a King bed.
•The third bedroom has a Queen bed.
•Chicory Cottage also has a powder room and an additional full bathroom.

•Large fire pit with six Adirondack chairs and complimentary firewood (two bundles).
•Access to the outdoor shed, which contains: Life jackets, marshmallow forks, outdoor games & activities (Corn hole, Ladder golf, Football, Yardzee, Frisbee)

KITCHEN AMENITIES
The full kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher, oven, toaster, crock pot, and blender. A Keurig, a traditional coffee maker, a coffee bean grinder, and an electric tea kettle are also provided. Also available are pots and pans, kitchen towels, hot pads, baking pans, baking sheets, and BBQ utensils. Dishes, serving ware, utensils, glassware, wine glasses, and additional barware are also on site. Enjoy your meals on our large farm table that seats six.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT CHICORY COTTAGE
Our one-story home is 1,700 square feet, and recently underwent a complete remodel.
•Six guests maximum.
•Two parking spots in the driveway (no garage access for vehicles).
•We supply one small, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom. We recommend that guests bring shower essentials for stays longer than two nights.
•Furniture and decor may differ from the listing photos, as we strive to maintain the comfort, quality, and cleanliness of our home's furnishings.
•No pets, fireworks, firearms, smoking, tobacco, or vaping allowed on the property.
•Water Access for Kangaroo Lake is found 0.3 miles away. A public, sandy swimming area is at the east end of Kangaroo Beach Road. There is no actual beach at the public access point, but it offers easy entry and is shallow and sandy, making it ideal for swimming and wading. (Please note that vacation rental sites often use A.I. to describe our home’s proximity to Kangaroo Lake. Unfortunately, they often calculate the distance to the lake as the crow flies. Chicory Cottage is NOT lakefront. Nor is it 100 feet from Kangaroo Lake.)

Many of the requirements in our house rules are dictated by our local village’s short-term rental ordinance and are beyond our control. Our standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. or later, and our standard check-out time is 10:00 a.m. or earlier.
Please read our entire listing, including our house rules and the description of our home's location. We require a signed rental agreement and a $300 credit card security deposit hold for all bookings. To finalize the booking and prevent cancellation, we require that our guests read and sign the agreement before their free cancellation period expires.
